Alright, I think this is going to be a short meeting

I'm hoping to have updated kernels today for Hyperscale

In the new year, I'll be refreshing our images with all the stuff coming in from Fedora and EPEL, particularly the KDE images.

I may also port over the Fedora 44 change to eliminate the `/boot` ext4 partition on our cloud images

and move all that to a btrfs subvolume

there's also some questions about whether we should make `/etc` a subvolume too

that's it for me

Interesting about the btrfs subvolume changes, I'll have to find some background reading on this

the GNOME 49 rebase hasn't had much progress and the epic was made private/deleted https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-124219

but it may just be holiday slowdown/it's not high priority

semi-related, the COSMIC SIG (alongside yselkowitz) is working on COSMIC for EPEL, so if someone is interested in that, we can add COSMIC as an option for Hyperscale

it's been added to ELN and should be part of daily composes now

I used greetd from the cosmic-epel copr last week, it came in clutch

there's still a few things that need backporting for cosmic

the selinux policy commit for greetd (so it works in all policy modes) and the preset for cosmic-greeter

Yes, this are a thing now.

There are now live ISOs for KDE, GNOME, and starting from today, COSMIC too

The goal is to ensure the desktops stay working as RHEL is continuously developed.

And to make sure it isn't painful to branch them for EPEL too

well, starting from tomorrow probably, the pungi-fedora change hasn't been merged yet
