Switching, work internet is flaky

oh the gitlab migration is done

most of our stuff was moved over already, but now all the git.centos.org content is archived as well

we should plan to move the remaining repos as well so we have everything in one place

but that's contingent on cleaning up tickets first

speaking of

we can start by cutting over for new tickets I guess?

let's schedule an hour next week to go over these?

and then we can run the import tool and do the repo migration

I'm around on Monday but I will be off the rest of next week

I just noticed to my dismay how many CVEs are intentionally not patched in RHEL / CentOS

I'm preparing to rebase to 6.16 for Fedora Asahi and CentOS Hyperscale

for the kernel that is

(it's a matter of triage - "this is not exploitable under most scenarios" etc. - and if you just pick a later CentOS version that is not vulnerable when the package set is first determined, you're not affected, but that means there is likely always a window where depending on your use case and your tolerance to CVEs you might have to backport yourself, which can be tricky)

nothing bad reported for 6.16 on the Fedora side?

(iirc 6.15 was quite bad)

so far things seem okay for 6.16
