Hi John!
<@jwhimpel:fedora.im>
18:03:31
Peter Boy: I got connected to sisyphos this AM. Thanks for the help.
<@pboy:fedora.im>
18:04:16
Yeah, it was a busy weekend and the last 2 days to get everything running again
<@pboy:fedora.im>
18:10:25
We are still a bit 'understuffed'. I hope mowest is still commuting and will join us soon.

Review of the current state
<@pboy:fedora.im>
18:17:53
Unfortunately, due to several hardware failures last Friday, I was so busy the last few days that I couldn't deal with it. So, where we are?
<@pboy:fedora.im>
18:17:53
<@jwhimpel:fedora.im>
18:20:06
Last week, I called it up for viewing. It looked okay to me. Since i was doing this before "Opening Date", I did not submit any data. Is JWF or anyone else able to give us usage data on a regular basis?
<@pboy:fedora.im>
18:21:53
I don't know about the current status, unfortunately. mowest did you receive some infos from Justin?
<@pboy:fedora.im>
18:22:47
And yes, as far as I know you can get info about the data while the poll is running. But I don't know the details how to get it.
<@pboy:fedora.im>
18:23:08
But I think Justin will help us.
<@mowest:fedora.im>
18:26:18
I submitted last Wednesday the newsletter article for comment, haven't received anything back. Was it okay? I think we just need to notify Fedora Magazine to publish the article and have marketing get the news out over social media after article goes live.
<@pboy:fedora.im>
18:28:17
I read the article, but couldn't manage to review and reply. On a first sight it might be a bit short for FedMag. And before we publish we have to be sure the poll is uop and running.
<@pboy:fedora.im>
18:30:02
Well, I can read the proposal again tomorrow. And maybe I have some ideas about what to add.
<@mowest:fedora.im>
18:30:50
I believe the poll at the address in the article is up and running.
<@pboy:fedora.im>
18:31:47
To me it looks the same as last week? Did you see any indication about the status?
<@pboy:fedora.im>
18:32:35
Do you have the link at hand? It's burried here
<@mowest:fedora.im>
18:32:52
My impression was that is the final status
<@mowest:fedora.im>
18:33:33
No I don't have link handy on phone not at computer.
<@pboy:fedora.im>
18:37:13
The link is https://fedoraproject.limequery.com/fedora-server-f41
<@pboy:fedora.im>
18:39:21
OK, I think we should try to ask Justin, to be sure. And I'll respond on mailing list about the article. At the moment, we are stuck, I guess.
<@pboy:fedora.im>
18:39:55
So, let's continue with next topic for now. Any objections?

18:41:05
We had a longer discussion on mailing list. Anything to add here?
<@pboy:fedora.im>
18:41:40
All WG members who participated voted to keep the message. Any other ideas here?
<@jwhimpel:fedora.im>
18:42:13
I bellieve Martin Pitt has decided not to make the change (see his email from today)
<@pboy:fedora.im>
18:43:02
Yes, nevertheless, we should make a decision here, formaly. It is our matter.
<@pboy:fedora.im>
18:43:28
<@pboy:fedora.im>
18:43:28
I would prefer it even more if the graphical user interface were explicitly emphasized.
<@pboy:fedora.im>
18:43:28
Instead fo simple "Web console:" something like "Graphical Web console:"
<@pboy:fedora.im>
18:43:28
Not that anyone will get the idea that it is simply a web based text terminal (which is also present, of course).
<@pboy:fedora.im>
18:43:45
Nevertheless, I think there is no objection here. Therefore

<@jwhimpel:fedora.im>
18:48:17
It appears that f41's move from dnf to dnf5 has caused my ansible modules some heartburn. It appears it was not a 100% backward compatible upgrade. First indications also suggest that handling "changed when" and "failed when" might be somewhat different in f41. I am still researching those issues. Since sisyphos came back online very recently, I have been able to resume testing. May be able to commit changes to the repository later today. Certainly by tomorrow.
<@pboy:fedora.im>
18:49:29
Yeah, I was bitten by some incompatibilities of dnf5, too.
<@jwhimpel:fedora.im>
18:51:02
I will send a message to the ML when the commit is completed.
<@pboy:fedora.im>
18:51:03
But OK, let's have a look in the comming days. I'm in the process to prepare the information to make an Ansible playbook to set up an advanced mail service. I would like to use your work as a model or template.
<@pboy:fedora.im>
18:51:28
OK, let's move on.
<@pboy:fedora.im>
18:51:43
!topic 5. Work program and goals
<@pboy:fedora.im>
18:52:21
Maybe, we should skip this now. We miss a lot of our members today.
<@pboy:fedora.im>
18:54:52
I wold like to have an open discussion about this and probably to check and collect, what each of us would like to work on. As an example, I would like to continue with Fedora Server in a virtualized environment and I would like to make a 'Home Server' spin specifically for SBC / Raspberry. And I hope others may have additional ideas.
<@pboy:fedora.im>
18:55:49
Well, let's move on for now.
