Well, I added the fedora-ansible subdir to our repo.

Do you have a script we can share there?

We've been talking about going to a weekly meeting but I don't think we've come to a consensus that that is what we're going to do

I'm in a good spot, health wise. I spent last week in the woods backpacking 21 miles.

I'm thinking about coming to Flock, hoping to come with my son, but I have not signed up yet, is there a deadline?

I suppose, there is none for the conference. But may be it is for the hotel freservations. You may have to finde one near by.

Since, I have never been to a Flock, would my son still find it interesting if he is not a contributor to Fedora? He could be if he could find a project to give his coding skills too. He has helped out MX Linux as one of their coders, authoring and refactoring a few C++ and Python programs.

I'm sure he'll find a few conferences that will interest him

mowest I think depending of his age and skill level, there are many talks and some workshops which should be interesting for him.

Age is 19, skill level is intermediate to advanced. Also, he really is the main admin for our homelab Fedora servers.

@mowest very intersting (the homelab). Would like to discuss with hime about our experiences.

He was hired by his college to code a greenfield web app project to run on their Opensuse servers.

And 19 is a good ae for the conference

Oh, I'm sure he will find interesting talks etc.

When it comes to coding and running podman he is way more experienced then me, but I still know a few things about Linux admin that he is surprised that I know at times.

And intersting people to discuss with and to get acquainted with

He has coded in C++, Rust, Python, Bash, Vim script, and Javascript.

I think He could become a good member of our WG :-) Father and son in a combo

Probably, then we could keep each other motivated to participate with our limited free time. I will have to look into finding a place to stay in Rochester, sounds like we should make the trip.

with the information I had so far.

Just so I understand. Currently fedora-server has no release blockers, but we want it to be that way?

Yes, we want the VM distribution image become a release blocker, just as the 2 bootable iso's are.

We want prevent a situation as with the last release, where we had a non-working image because of an inknown LVM change.

So we have to write a change proposal.

The deadline is in about 2 or 3 weeks, I think

A first step is, if we have put together all the requirements.
