I think, this is the main topic today we should spend the most time on.

I filed a ticket with Release Management. They assigned one of their team members to assist us through the task. To change the names involves many changes in areas not fully understood by anyone. This is likely to be a long drawn out process.

OK, thanks for that. I think the most important thing is, that we are starting it.

It was suggested at our previous tutorial meeting, that we take an existing server image and convert it's generation to the new processes. Then make sure the old process and new process generate the same content. Then make any content changes and rename that image. Rinse and repeat.

Any suggestions on which image we should begin with?

That's the problem. We should coordinate the details with releng. nirik (out: back the 17th) want to come back with information, what releng is planing for the transition. I think it is best to coordinate as perfect as possible with releng advised procedures.

If the Everything media has a Fedora Server option, we need to have that option say "use one of the approved Server media" for installation.

Release Management is already overburdened with work. I suspect we would have to determine what changes are needed and submit patches for their review and approval. We are such a small group and have limited knowledge of processes (and possibly even limited knowledge of Python), that we would have a steep learning curve to climb. I would suggest we pass on this unless it's becomes a big problem.

I would suggest we concentrate our limited resources on converting to the new media creation processes and then fixing issues after we more easily make changes.

Propably we add "in the long term" to the agree proposal and come back later, it we have resources to work on it.

Jason Blackwell: no additional efforts, just at you said.

The image is perfect and works perfect, no issues since the first release back in F38.

I had just a small thing for open floor -- I'm working with this person who wanted this package for EPEL, and is also interested in becoming a Fedora packager, more generally. Seems relevant to the Server WG :) https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2274274 -- they will need a sponsor, at some point.

I am not a Fedora packager, so unfortunately would be of no assistance.

Lately I decided to contribute to open source software and Fedora in particular coz I've got a lot from it and gave nothing.
