<@sgallagh:fedora.im>
16:10:47
!topic ELNBuildSync Status Update
<@sgallagh:fedora.im>
16:10:58
I have several updates here.
<@sgallagh:fedora.im>
16:11:36
First of all, we have migrated the ELNBuildSync sources over to https://github.com/fedora-eln/elnbuildsync
<@sgallagh:fedora.im>
16:11:49
!info ELNBuildSync now hosted on GitHub at https://github.com/fedora-eln/elnbuildsync
<@sgallagh:fedora.im>
16:14:02
This has also come with a large number of changes to how it is deployed, reducing the number of git repositories involved from four (Server code; helm deployment; secret storage; and runtime configuration) down to two (Server code and runtime configuration).
<@sgallagh:fedora.im>
16:15:01
It is also now receiving official versioned releases (whereas previously it was deploying directly from git)
<@sgallagh:fedora.im>
16:15:38
A pull request has also been submitted to enable hosting EBS in the Fedora Infrastructure OpenShift cluster.
<@sgallagh:fedora.im>
16:15:54
https://forge.fedoraproject.org/infra/ansible/pulls/3374
<@sgallagh:fedora.im>
16:16:26
!info ELNBuildSync has had its repo structure reorganized and is now being prepped to move to public hosting in the Fedora Infrastructure
<@sgallagh:fedora.im>
16:16:50
So that's the latest there. Any questions?
<@salimma:fedora.im>
16:17:25
very nice
<@sgallagh:fedora.im>
16:18:16
Michel Lind ☘ UTC+1 📛: I'm sorry, but your answer has to be in the form of a question. Thank you for playing ;-)
<@salimma:fedora.im>
16:18:33
would anyone object if I say this is very nice work? :P
<@sgallagh:fedora.im>
16:18:57
🫡
<@sgallagh:fedora.im>
16:19:01
OK, moving on
<@sgallagh:fedora.im>
16:19:18
!topic ELN and bootc
<@sgallagh:fedora.im>
16:19:33
jligon: You've been driving this, so mind taking the wheel for this topic?
<@jligon:matrix.org>
16:19:40
exciting news! meeting tomorrow
<@sgallagh:fedora.im>
16:19:52
Yay, meetings! ... wait
<@jligon:matrix.org>
16:20:26
I walked Stephen Gallagher through it a bit last week, and agreed that Joel could do a better job explaining the konflux bits to him, so set up a meeting for tomorrow
<@jligon:matrix.org>
16:21:23
we are currently focusing on the compose image of the job, which contains the repos that will be used to build the base image
<@jligon:matrix.org>
16:22:09
once the compose image is created, then base image will start to flow, and then its just figuring out how we want to consume them for centos-stream
<@sgallagh:fedora.im>
16:24:01
For centos-stream?
<@jligon:matrix.org>
16:24:02
also the bootc team had a question about that from the previous meeting, but now i don't see it. it involved migrating the centos-bootc image to the atomic namespace
<@jligon:matrix.org>
16:25:22
step 1 of getting centos-stream bootc images supported is to be doing fedora-eln bootc images, iiuic(wimn)
<@sgallagh:fedora.im>
16:26:32
Ack, you mean CentOS Stream 11 in this case.
<@jligon:matrix.org>
16:26:44
yes
<@sgallagh:fedora.im>
16:28:28
OK, thanks for the update.
<@sgallagh:fedora.im>
16:28:48
I don't have any other questions today, though I'm sure I'll have plenty at the meeting tomorrow.
<@jligon:matrix.org>
16:28:53
happy to help!

<@sgallagh:fedora.im>
