12:07:11 <samikshan> Updates? kshlm?
12:07:24 <kshlm> Not much.
12:07:30 <samikshan> Others?
12:07:34 <kshlm> Work is going on slow.
12:07:56 <kshlm> We are trying to get a work plan ready for GD2.
12:08:29 <jdarcy> Vijay and I are meeting with everyone to figure out which pieces of (or alternatives to) 4.0 can be brought forward.
12:09:09 <samikshan> kshlm: jdarcy: Thanks.
12:09:23 <samikshan> kshlm: Should that be an AI for next week though?
12:09:29 <jdarcy> Fact is that 4.0 as currently defined will take forever given the resource and distraction levels that have plagued it so far.
12:09:49 <kshlm> samikshan, Nah, we'll announce the plan when we have it.
12:10:38 <samikshan> kshlm: Okay
12:11:03 <samikshan> Anything else to discuss on 4.0?
12:11:40 <kshlm> Nothing else.

12:14:16 <samikshan> Adding an AI for that
12:14:44 <samikshan> #action RC tagging to be done by this week for 3.9 by aravindavk
12:15:00 <aravindavk> samikshan: ok. Nothing much from 3.9, mentioned about pending tasks in mail
12:15:15 <samikshan> Yep.
12:15:33 <aravindavk> #info http://www.gluster.org/pipermail/gluster-devel/2016-September/050851.html

12:17:26 <samikshan> ndevos?
12:17:40 <nigelb> Isn't he on the way to the hotel?
12:17:49 <samikshan> Oh yeah.
12:18:46 <samikshan> So if there's nothing else to talk about for 3.8, will move on

12:19:44 <samikshan> #topic GlusterFS-3.7
12:20:04 <samikshan> kshlm. Any updates?
12:20:36 <kshlm> I need a volunteer to manage the next 3.7 release
12:20:49 <kshlm> I sent out a call for volunteer last week.
12:21:02 <kshlm> Any volunteers?
12:21:47 <kshlm> I want to reduce the time I spend on release management and concenterate more on GD2.
12:21:51 * partner late :/
12:22:32 <kshlm> No one?
12:22:54 <kshlm> I'll bump the thread on mailing list again.
12:23:07 <samikshan> kshlm: Yep, was going to suggest that. :)
12:23:13 <kshlm> I have an update on 3.8
12:23:19 <kshlm> 3.8.4 has been tagged.
12:23:30 <kshlm> Just waiting on ndevos to send out the announcement.
12:23:40 <kshlm> That's it.
12:24:11 <samikshan> That's an AI then? ndevos to send out the announcement that 3.8.4 has been tagged?
12:24:19 <samikshan> kshlm: ^?
12:24:47 <kshlm> I can prod him about it.
12:24:53 <samikshan> Cool

12:26:19 <samikshan> Everyone cool with skipping 3.6?
12:26:56 <samikshan> Alright
12:27:03 <samikshan> #topic Project Infrastructure
12:27:38 <samikshan> nigelb, misc: Hola. Any updates? :)
12:27:52 <nigelb> Hello!
12:28:07 <nigelb> A bunch of updates
12:28:19 <nigelb> If you notice test failures like this on 3.8: "./tests/basic/gfapi/gfapi-ssl-test.c:9:32: error: glusterfs/api/glfs.h: No such file or directory", it's bug 1375952, not an infra issue.
12:28:19 <samikshan> Great!
12:28:58 <nigelb> 2. misc has built the first two centos VMs in the cage and I've connected up the first builder to jenkins. I'll be testing a regression job on it tonight. If all goes well, I'll put it into rota tomorrow. We'll be slowly transitioning towards VMs from the cage.
12:29:17 <nigelb> 3. We now have a build-jobs repo on Gerrit for the JJB files and scripts that will create jobs on build.gluster.org.
12:29:48 <nigelb> that's it from me.
12:30:33 <samikshan> Thanks nigelb for the updates
12:32:02 <samikshan> Ah cool. Anyone else has anything to discuss wrt these updates? :)
12:33:10 * samikshan moves on to next topic

12:33:57 <samikshan> kkeithley: Around? :)
12:35:25 <samikshan> Anything on NFS Ganesha?
12:36:09 <kshlm> I guess kkeithley is also on the way back to the hotel with ndevos
12:36:28 <samikshan> That's probable. :)

12:42:26 <samikshan> I think this has been done. Can someone help me with the link to the mail to the list?
12:43:07 <aravindavk> http://www.gluster.org/pipermail/gluster-devel/2016-September/050851.html

12:45:50 <kshlm> samikshan, I don't think so.
12:45:53 <kshlm> Keep it open.
12:46:06 <samikshan> #action rastar_afk/ndevos/jdarcy to improve cleanup to control the processes that test starts
12:46:42 <samikshan> Okay. Guess its time to open the floor now

12:47:44 <jdarcy> Berlin summit?
12:48:19 <samikshan> Yep. We can discuss that. :D
12:48:20 <jdarcy> Talks have been chosen. Was there a public announcement?
12:48:49 <samikshan> Don't think there was an announcement wrt what talks have been selected.
12:49:03 <jdarcy> OK, I'll bug Amye about that.
12:49:13 <samikshan> At least I'm not aware of any.
12:49:17 <jdarcy> Also, I'd be glad to help other authors developer their content.
12:49:21 <partner> sorry i haven't been able to put time into debugging the issues we've encountered with libgfapi on openstack envs, there's no bug report either since i don't have enough data, my colleagues have done most of the work on that front
12:49:21 <jdarcy> Develop.
12:49:38 <samikshan> Thanks jdarcy
12:49:46 <jdarcy> https://www.gluster.org/events/summit2016/ says September 12, which was yesterday.
12:50:41 <samikshan> Yep.
12:50:54 <samikshan> Putting an action item for this.. :D
12:51:24 <samikshan> #action jdarcy will bug amye regarding a public announcement for Gluster Summit talks
12:51:32 <jdarcy> :)
12:51:48 <kshlm> Have presenters been contacted?
12:51:53 <jdarcy> Yes.
12:52:16 <jdarcy> I did see that email go by, just wasn't sure if there'd been a public one as well.
12:52:27 <samikshan> Ah okay.
12:52:27 <kshlm> I haven't seen anything yet.
12:52:54 <kshlm> So neither of my talks were chosen then.
12:53:01 <kshlm> Oh well.
12:53:48 <samikshan> I've not received any email too.
12:54:06 <Saravanakmr> maybe nobody received that mail yet :)
12:54:39 <jdarcy> Maybe I was wrong about the email. I'm on the PC, so I might have seen PC-only mail and mistook it for something else.
12:54:51 <jdarcy> I'll mention that when I talk to Amye.
12:55:02 <samikshan> jdarcy: Cool. Thanks :)
12:55:51 <samikshan> Anything else to discuss?
12:55:58 <jdarcy> I've been so focused on multiplexing, I can barely remember or focus on anything else.
12:56:16 <kshlm> jdarcy, I wish I had that focus.
12:56:31 <nigelb> jdarcy: there was an acceptance email that went around.
12:56:47 <kshlm> samikshan, I don't have anything.
12:57:21 <samikshan> Okay ending the meeting. This was fun; hosting my first meeting. :D
