12:04:01 <jakfrost> #topic 1/ Last week's stats
12:05:53 <jakfrost> #info Week of October 12: 60.38K pageviews -- There seems to be a downward trend compared to this time last year
12:06:39 <gregbartholomew_> This whole year has been a downward trend IMO. :-),
12:06:54 <jakfrost> Up a bit from the week before.
12:07:07 <stickster> gregbartholomew_: jakfrost: Someone just posted on our list yesterday that for the last few months, posts have been missing from the Fedora Planet.
12:07:07 <jakfrost> yeah, bit of a bummer year
12:07:16 <stickster> That may also be affecting the stats
12:07:24 <stickster> But yeah, 2020--  :-(
12:07:25 <jakfrost> noticed that this morning
12:08:14 <jakfrost> was that about the same time we had a change to the way the feed was handled?
12:08:39 <jakfrost> but it likely would affect the stats I would suspect
12:08:47 <gregbartholomew_> I assume whoever can fix the problem will see the notice on discourse. I wouldn't even know who to forward it to.
12:09:27 <jakfrost> #topic 2/ In progress followup
12:09:27 <jakfrost> #info Looking at the 'in progress' column, is there something that's been finished? Anything to follow up on with its author?
12:09:27 <jakfrost> #link Board: https://teams.fedoraproject.org/project/asamalik-fedora-magazine/kanban
12:10:11 <stickster> gregbartholomew_: The Planet, like most Fedora services, is run by Fedora infrastructure team. So the next step would be to report it there and see if we can get help debugging the problem.
12:10:29 <stickster> I can see https://fedoramagazine.org/feed/ is generating RSS OK.
12:10:30 <jakfrost> stickster++
12:10:54 <stickster> I don't assume anyone sees every email, that would be surprising
12:11:13 <jakfrost> In the in progress column we do have a number
12:11:26 <jakfrost> of in progress items
12:11:52 <jakfrost> #234 doesn't seem to have been moved along yet
12:12:43 <jakfrost> #237 is still as it was lat meeting, prior
12:12:48 <jakfrost> last
12:13:38 <jakfrost> Should be seeing the draft for #241 by today
12:13:41 <stickster> #action stickster file an issue in https://pagure.io/fedora-infrastructure about RSS feed
12:14:09 <gregbartholomew_> stickster++
12:14:36 <jakfrost> sorry, I should have done that. bcotton was supposed to teach me that action thang...
12:14:59 <stickster> In case anyone was interested: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Zodbot#Meeting_Functions
12:15:37 <jakfrost> #242 looks pretty complete
12:16:04 <gregbartholomew_> Hmm, only 71 issues ... is that a slow day?! :-O
12:16:25 <stickster> One thing I would like to recommend -- any article that goes into the In Progress state -- that is, something beyond idea stage that's actually underway -- should have Watchers set to the entire Editorial board.
12:16:34 <jakfrost> #243 is ... pending
12:17:03 <gregbartholomew_> stickster: is there a button/group for that?
12:17:13 <jakfrost> #244 is pending content too
12:17:57 <jakfrost> stickster that is a good idea. Who do you assign?
12:19:19 <stickster> jakfrost: gregbartholomew_: You add watchers, and then start typing "edit..." and you'll see "Role: editorial board member"
12:19:30 <stickster> If you add that role, all editors will be assigned as watchers.
12:19:43 <jakfrost> sort of a button then
12:19:52 <jakfrost> a filter
12:20:00 <stickster> Didn't we have some stratis articles incoming?
12:20:08 <gregbartholomew_> stickster: sounds pretty easy then. Thanks.
12:20:29 <jakfrost> I thought so, but are they still in spec?
12:21:54 <jakfrost> I guess they are still currently not in spec
12:22:18 <jakfrost> #topic 3/ Finished articles to review
12:22:18 <jakfrost> #info Looking at the 'review' column, let's decide which articles are good to go. Move each either to the 'to edit' (finished) or to the 'in progress' (needs more work) and provide feedback.
12:22:18 <jakfrost> #link Board: https://teams.fedoraproject.org/project/asamalik-fedora-magazine/kanban
12:22:21 <stickster> Ah, that explains it
12:22:49 <stickster> jakfrost: what would be an #action that would help move those stratis articles along?
12:23:10 <jakfrost> is this a test?
12:23:42 <jakfrost> #action EOW jakfrost to make taiga cards for the Stratis articles proposals
12:24:04 <stickster> ha, you get a B+... an A would have been #action stickster :-D as punishment for asking
12:24:42 <jakfrost> NP, you can do it if you like, we share this one since they were conversing with both if us
12:25:02 <jakfrost> ^of^
12:26:06 <jakfrost> #242 is in review and looks pretty much ready for edit and image. any takers?
12:26:17 <gregbartholomew_> I'm happy to take it. :)
12:26:24 <stickster> +1
12:27:10 <jakfrost> #action gregbartolomew_ to edit and do image for #242 Network Time Security
12:27:41 <gregbartholomew_> That reminds me. I need to watch the video on how to do images. :)
12:27:52 <jakfrost> That is about all we have for this week, pending the test week announcement
12:28:07 <jakfrost> where is the link for said video?
12:28:36 <jakfrost> also pending the release plus iot articles
12:28:49 <gregbartholomew_> well, I can take another one if something comes along as penance for being away for so long. :)
12:29:16 <jakfrost> As EOW, I'll keep that in mind
12:29:20 <gregbartholomew_> I currently have ample free time.
12:29:25 <jakfrost> #topic 4/ Articles to edit
12:29:25 <jakfrost> #info Looking at the 'to edit' column, assign an editor and a cover image creator.
12:29:25 <jakfrost> #link Board: https://teams.fedoraproject.org/project/asamalik-fedora-magazine/kanban
12:30:14 <stickster> I think bcotton is still working on the image video
12:30:31 <stickster> Also, I made a card just now for the first Stratis article (the "getting started" one)
12:30:35 * bcotton parachutes in
12:30:38 <bcotton> I've almost started!
12:30:46 <gregbartholomew_> jakfrost: just shoot me an email if you would like me to edit an article.
12:31:26 <gregbartholomew_> Does the old mail list still exist?
12:32:00 <gregbartholomew_> o/ bcotton
12:32:40 <jakfrost> #242 has been moved into the edit column and assigned edit and image to gregbartholomew_
12:33:58 <jakfrost> bcotton o/
12:34:24 <jakfrost> boctton: #243 and #244?
12:34:55 <bcotton> jakfrost: what about them, sorry
12:35:00 <gregbartholomew_> I can take either of them.
12:35:13 <gregbartholomew_> I expect those will be easy to edit. :)
12:35:34 <jakfrost> was that what you have almost started
12:35:52 <bcotton> oh,no i was talking about the "how to make a featured image" video
12:36:01 <stickster> Ha, np bcotton
12:36:09 <jakfrost> gotcha, i understand
12:36:22 <bcotton> #243 is with mattdm for review but #244 is almost started :-)
12:38:38 <jakfrost> gregbartholomew_: do you think you can do the NTP security article for Friday?
12:38:49 <gregbartholomew_> Sure.
12:39:37 <stickster> gregbartholomew_++
12:39:44 <stickster> oh wait, glb++
12:39:46 <zodbot> stickster: Karma for glb changed to 4 (for the current release cycle): https://badges.fedoraproject.org/tags/cookie/any
12:39:56 <jakfrost> #topic 5/ Publishing schedule
12:39:56 <jakfrost> #info Looking at the 'queued' and 'to edit' columns, decide the publishing schedule for the next week period.
12:39:56 <jakfrost> #info If there is not enough content, we might also need to look at the 'in progress' or even the 'article spec' columns come up with additional content.

12:43:44 <jakfrost> Okay so any taker s for Editor of the Week?
12:43:56 <gregbartholomew_> I can do the EOW next week too. :)
12:44:03 <jakfrost> glb++
12:45:26 <jakfrost> #info gregbartholomew_ is Editor of the Week next week starting Sunday October 25, 2020
12:45:48 <jakfrost> #topic 7/ Open floor
12:47:09 <jakfrost> I notice in the comments for the Lenovo announcement that stickster caught the font issue
12:47:24 <jakfrost> Anyone got anything to bring up?
12:47:35 <gregbartholomew_> I can't think of anything.
12:48:28 <stickster> Yeah, I fixed that problem
12:49:23 <jakfrost> stickster++
12:49:40 <stickster> Wow, glb is roaring back into action here! Much appreciated. Right now is an exceptional crunch time at $dayjob. I have a training regimen, a multi-week virtual conference, and several critical projects underway at the moment. So it leaves little time for much else.
12:50:15 <stickster> Despite that, though, I see a couple article ideas that I will try to get to over the next couple weeks to at least have some material in for publishing.
12:51:09 <jakfrost> I was thinking of taking on the podman article, using pods to do something collectively
12:51:23 <gregbartholomew_> NP. Like I said, I have a bit of free time right now. All I really have on my $dayjob todo list is some property control tasks (inventory and surplusing equipment). :)
12:52:35 <jakfrost> Well, thanks for coming to the meeting everyone. I think we can call it now
12:52:37 <jakfrost> #endmeeting
