16:01:13 <bcotton> #topic Roll Call
16:01:36 <mattdm> it me!
16:02:09 <bcotton> i've missed you!
16:02:19 <mattdm> i know it's been so long!
16:02:27 <bcotton> i'll go ahead and get started, it's another short meeting today because...
16:02:39 <bcotton> #topic Nominated bugs
16:02:41 <bcotton> #link https://bugzilla.redhat.com/buglist.cgi?bug_status=NEW&bug_status=ASSIGNED&bug_status=POST&bug_status=MODIFIED&bug_status=ON_DEV&bug_status=ON_QA&bug_status=VERIFIED&bug_status=RELEASE_PENDING&classification=Fedora&keywords=Triaged&keywords_type=nowords&list_id=9195844&product=Fedora&query_format=advanced&status_whiteboard=PrioritizedBug&status_whiteboard_type=allwords
16:02:42 <bcotton> #info 0 nominated bugs
16:02:44 <bcotton> everything is perfect!
16:02:53 <mattdm> \o/
16:03:13 <bcotton> so let's do a quick review of the existing bugs
16:03:16 <bcotton> #topic Require all other updates to be installed before allowing to start system upgrade
16:03:17 <bcotton> #link https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1336435
16:03:19 <bcotton> #info BZ 13364535 was accepted on 2017-08-02
16:03:51 <bcotton> #info Upstream bug has had no activity in the last year
16:03:52 <bcotton> #link https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-software/issues/116
16:04:12 <bcotton> so it's basically down to QA and the package owner trying to convince each other that work should or should not happen on this bug
16:04:29 <mattdm> #popcorn
16:04:38 <bcotton> mattdm++
16:04:38 <zodbot> bcotton: Karma for mattdm changed to 2 (for the current release cycle): https://badges.fedoraproject.org/tags/cookie/any
16:04:46 <mattdm> maybe we should try to facilitate a meeting of some sort?
16:04:57 <mattdm> maybe around devconf or fosdem?
16:05:07 <bcotton> that's a good idea
16:05:22 <bcotton> i will check and see if the interested parties are planning on being at either/both of those
16:05:25 <mattdm> bcotton++
16:05:46 <bcotton> #action bcotton to coordinate a meeting with QA and package owner
16:06:14 <bcotton> #topic PackageKit accumulate over 18GBytes of RPM packages in /var/cache/PackageKit/metadata and fill my root filesystem with unused RPM files
16:06:15 <bcotton> #link https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1306992
16:06:16 <bcotton> #info BZ 1306992 was accepted on 2018-08-29
16:06:39 <bcotton> #info NEEDINFO since 2018-08-10
16:07:30 <mattdm> same developer as previous bug :-/
16:07:35 <bcotton> yeeeeeeeeeeeeahhhhhhhh
16:07:51 <bcotton> i believe last time you were #actioned to follow up (again) with him
16:08:12 <bcotton> so we're kind of hitting the bounds of what this process can actually *do* about a prioritized bug
16:08:59 <mattdm> Yeah, I agree. We need someone from Workstation to really champion this
16:09:27 <mattdm> I'll talk to Christian.
16:09:44 <bcotton> #action mattdm to talk to Christian to champion this bug from the Workstation perspective
16:09:53 <mattdm> it's worth noting that this is also the same dev having to deal with all the dnf changes that affect packagekit
16:10:00 <mattdm> so there's a lot of priorities to juggle
16:11:01 <mattdm> mail sent
16:11:15 <bcotton> do you know if there's any help in that regard, or if he's sort of left to manage it on his own?
16:11:47 <mattdm> bcotton: help is being worked on :-/
16:11:57 <bcotton> roger
16:12:30 <bcotton> #topic In Gnome Wayland, forward-key-event does not work well, breaks space key completely
16:12:31 <bcotton> #link https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1625142
16:12:37 <bcotton> #info Bug is CLOSED
16:12:38 <bcotton> #action bcotton to remove from wiki page
16:12:46 <orc_fedo> in this bug, priorities juggling worries me ; 'the perfect final solution, whatever that is with no action for three months ... is the enemy of interim fixes'; perhaps just retaining the most recent N of a given name, sort of like with installing most recent N kernels is a good approach -- alternatively push an update with that rpm-cache-prune script and run at reboots, or something ..
16:12:52 <orc_fedo> oops -- too late
16:13:14 <bcotton> no worries, orc_fedo :-)
16:13:32 <mattdm> orc_fedo: yes, it's a good point
16:13:56 <mattdm> bcotton: oooh, this one is fixed. good for us!
16:14:06 <mattdm> one for the wins column!
16:14:11 <bcotton> huzzah
16:14:19 <bcotton> #topic Plymouth doesn't echo LUKS keypresses or show boot progress with amdgpu+LUKS
16:14:21 <bcotton> #link https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1490490
16:14:24 <bcotton> #info mattdm emailed hardware enablement and plymouth dev @ Red Hat
16:15:24 <mattdm> also I have an amd vega system now. but not had time to play with it :)
16:15:39 <bcotton> apparently it's not quite as simple as amd+LUKS
16:15:51 <mattdm> I'll check back with devs
16:15:59 <bcotton> #action mattdm to check back with devs
16:16:30 <bcotton> #topic selinux prevents loading of anything inside /etc/cron.d
