15:06:50 <rdieter> hi all, friendly kde-sig meeting, who's present today?
15:07:27 <tosky> hi
15:08:31 <rdieter> tosky: might be quick :)
15:08:36 <rdieter> #info rdieter tosksy present
15:08:46 <rdieter> #chair tosky
15:08:46 <zodbot> Current chairs: rdieter tosky
15:10:25 <rdieter> #topic agenda
15:11:19 * rdieter can mention recent updates, f29-beta
15:11:29 <rdieter> tosky: you have anything today?
15:11:48 <tosky> rdieter: as follow up from last time, did you see my email about tellico?
15:12:07 <rdieter> I believe so
15:13:32 <rdieter> ok, found the mail, logs from last time, I'll followup after the meeting to see if @kdesig has commit access yet or not
15:13:47 <tosky> thanks
15:13:50 * satellit listening

15:14:47 <rdieter> #topic open discussion
15:15:12 <rdieter> So, non-rawhide updates slowed down for f29-beta freeze
15:15:40 <rdieter> rawhide updates since include: qt5-5.11.2, kf5-5.50.0, plasma-5.13.90
15:16:20 <tosky> how did the complain for Qt 5.11 in Fedora 28 end up, after the update?
15:17:54 <rdieter> tosky: fesco voted to affirm kde-sig was justified in doing the update
15:18:20 <rdieter> one owner of a package that uses qt private apis complained
15:18:51 <rdieter> (not even sure if they were the owner, or just a user)... either way, there was temporary broken deps with a couple of rpmfusion packages
15:19:53 <tosky> ok, so mostly fine
15:20:02 <tosky> the update seems to be stable
15:20:46 <rdieter> kevin had some criticism that qtwebengine-5.11.x included some regressions, but there's not much we can do about that
15:21:30 <rdieter> (I could not justify holding the entire update back just for that)
15:22:12 <tosky> well, some other time we had to hold it back with the rest of Qt, and a new version of qtwebengine was packages separately, and the criticism was exactly the opposite
15:22:31 <rdieter> heh, yeah
15:24:28 <rdieter> one decision to make for f29 GA. which updates to get in for GA, or wait for post-release updates? stuff like kf5, plasma, qt5
15:25:06 <rdieter> I'm of a mind that kf5-5.50 + plasma-5.13.7 is doable, qt5-5.11.2 can come later
15:25:36 <tosky> Plasma 5.13.5?
15:25:46 <tosky> the .7 version is 5.12.7
15:26:00 <tosky> and Plasma 5.14.x is definitely post-release
15:26:01 <rdieter> sorry, whatever latest 5.13.x is, yeah
15:26:23 <tosky> but I think it depends on 5.50, so having 5.50 in would simplify the future upgrade of Plasma
15:26:26 <rdieter> I had the .7 on my mind from seeing 5.12.7 announcment, ha
15:26:40 <tosky> I guessed so :)
15:27:02 <rdieter> kf5/plasma updates are a definite thing, just depends if we try to get it in prior to f29 final, or wait for doing it after
15:27:36 * rdieter checks schedule
15:28:17 <rdieter> final freeze isn't until oct 09, so definitely doable
15:28:49 <rdieter> waiting for f29 would mean same updates for f28 would wait too
15:29:10 <rdieter> I think that's all I have, anything else?
15:30:17 <rdieter> tosky: the tellico thing, was it just about acl's or was there more you wanted me to look at?
15:31:17 <tosky> rdieter: also the other way: if the person can also join the packaging group, having already experience with the packaging
15:32:11 <rdieter> tosky: you mean join @kdesig group?
15:32:17 <tosky> yes
15:32:41 <rdieter> ok, will think on that, prob ok
15:35:28 <rdieter> alright, that look like it, thanks everyone (tosky)!
