15:02:04 <nirik> morning
15:02:31 <sharkcz> hi all
15:02:44 <mboddu> Hello everyone
15:03:08 * mboddu haven't looked at the tickets as I was busy with bodhi activation
15:03:14 <mboddu> Lets see
15:04:45 <jednorozec> hello
15:05:32 <mboddu> #topic lorax new options
15:05:44 <mboddu> #link https://pagure.io/pungi-fedora/pull-request/872
15:05:55 <mboddu> #link https://pagure.io/pungi-fedora/pull-request/871
15:06:00 <mboddu> nirik: Have you seen this?
15:06:32 <nirik> no, somehow not...
15:07:28 <mboddu> I am very much interested to see the result
15:08:13 <nirik> yeah, looks too late for f33 tho.
15:08:46 <mboddu> Well, we have our ways
15:08:54 <mboddu> :D
15:08:55 <mboddu> But sure
15:09:00 <mboddu> First of all he has to respond
15:09:29 <mboddu> Or should I spin a compose in foo/ dir?
15:10:16 <nirik> well, it needs rebasing to even apply...
15:10:32 <mboddu> I can patch the config and run it
15:11:01 <nirik> actually it's small enough it shouldn't be hard to rebase.
15:11:02 <mboddu> The request is to run it with individual changes and then combined together
15:11:16 <mboddu> So, we are looking at 3 composes
15:12:09 <nirik> which request? the request is to merge those two things. ;)
15:12:44 <nirik> I did update pungi on both branched and rawhide composers.
15:13:34 <nirik> how about we rebase and merge those to master and see how rawhide does? then we can have them ask for a freeze break for f33?
15:14:31 <mboddu> Sure, that works for me
15:14:50 <mboddu> For some reason I thought the maintainer requested for individual composes
15:15:09 * mboddu cant read :D
15:15:41 <mboddu> jednorozec: ^ Can you do that?
15:16:18 * nirik hasn't yet looked why rawhide failed today
15:16:21 <mboddu> Creating a new PR with the 2 commits rebased?
15:16:26 * mboddu hasn't yet either
15:16:58 <jednorozec> mboddu, the PRs?
15:17:11 <mboddu> [11:05:44] <mboddu> #link https://pagure.io/pungi-fedora/pull-request/872
15:17:12 <mboddu> [11:05:55] <mboddu> #link https://pagure.io/pungi-fedora/pull-request/871
15:17:36 <mboddu> nirik: And luck would have it, branched also failed today and freeze started :D
15:18:16 <mboddu> branched is a dep issue with gnome-shell ( I think jednorozec mentioned it today morning)
15:18:16 <nirik> well, I think you can even rebase their pr... if they submitted it saying it was ok to rebase it.
15:18:26 <jednorozec> abrt-java-connector was issue with rawhide
15:18:40 <mboddu> nirik: The problem is it has merge conflicts, so rebase doesn't work
15:18:52 <jednorozec> and both branched and rawhide had the gnome thing issue
15:19:09 * jednorozec will create new PR after the meeting
15:20:42 <nirik> ok, whatever works.
15:22:30 <mboddu> #info jednorozec will create a new PR for it, we will merge it and try it out on rawhide first
15:22:37 <mboddu> #topic #9717 proposal: "archive" yum repo for Fedora; non-latest packages from the updates repo
15:22:46 <mboddu> #link https://pagure.io/releng/issue/9717
15:22:55 <mboddu> jednorozec: You have added it to the meeting tag
15:23:17 <jednorozec> yes, it mentiones that there was some discussion earlier. DOes any of you recall it?
15:23:39 <mboddu> dustymabe, nirik and I met yesterday to discuss about it, the plan is mentioned in the ticket
15:23:49 <mboddu> But pbrobinson has another plan
15:24:37 <nirik> I don't think a week will do it... would need to be back to the last FCOS compose..
15:24:38 <mboddu> But I prefer dustymabe's plan since it carries every thing
15:24:47 <mboddu> Right
15:25:22 <nirik> but the time could be increased... dunno. Anyhow, this isn't urgent...
15:25:25 <jednorozec> ok, I wasn't sure you guys discussed it already
15:25:56 <nirik> jednorozec: sorry for not inviting you too... ;( (although I bet the time was not great for you)
15:26:07 <jednorozec> nirik, I was on PTO :D
15:26:13 <nirik> ha. ok, that too.
15:26:38 <jednorozec> next time I will wait for this meeting before tagging anything after PTO
15:26:53 <mboddu> np :)
15:27:39 <nirik> anyhow, the issue is when a fcos compose happens, then weeks pass and newer stuff is in updates, if they try and install something as a layer it doesn't work because their base layer has a older version/dep... it's a corner case, but one they hit from time to time
15:28:44 <jednorozec> thanks for the info
15:30:07 <mboddu> The idea is to provide a yum repo for users to pull these updates without effecting their base layer
15:30:28 <mboddu> nirik: I think it will be useful for non fcos users as well
15:31:10 <nirik> well, perhaps. I worry about insecure stuff, but oh well.
15:32:38 <mboddu> True, we wont provide this repo as default, but people can go and look at older rpms if they want to
15:33:00 <mboddu> Anyway, moving on
15:33:12 <mboddu> #topic #9562 cloud/container image creation fails on s390x
15:33:17 <mboddu> #link https://pagure.io/releng/issue/9562
15:33:26 <mboddu> sharkcz: I think this can be closed
15:33:42 <sharkcz> mboddu: yup, not sure what has changed, but it works now
15:34:18 <mboddu> sharkcz: miracles does happen :D
15:34:31 <sharkcz> rarely ;-)
15:35:01 <mboddu> sharkcz: Any other updates on alt arches?
15:35:16 <sharkcz> no, we look good
15:35:29 <mboddu> Awesome
15:35:39 <nirik> there is a reboot hang on aarch64 with 5.9 kernels... :(
15:35:40 <mboddu> On that note:
15:35:53 <mboddu> Oh right, I forgot about that
15:36:09 <mboddu> nirik: You tried downgrading, right?
15:36:36 <nirik> I untagged the 5.9 kernels from rawhide for now so we could get a compose yesterday, yes.
15:36:59 <mboddu> Okay, thanks nirik
15:37:16 <mboddu> On that note,
15:37:42 <mboddu> nirik: Is there a document on how to fix the missing /mnt/koji on s390x builders?
15:38:07 <mboddu> When you are on PTO, it happened and smooge fixed it, but I wish if it can be documented
15:38:10 <nirik> no, but it's just 'mount /mnt/fedora_koji' enter the password, and 'mount /srv/odcs' and again
15:38:28 <mboddu> Where is the password?
15:38:35 <mboddu> private ansible?
15:38:52 <nirik> no. I have it, smooge has it. I can encrypt it for you if you like?
15:39:01 <mboddu> Sure, that would help, thanks
15:39:07 <smooge> I talked with Patrick about how it could be stored
15:39:17 <mboddu> Or that ^
15:39:23 <smooge> I don't know if that is in subject for this meeting
15:39:34 <smooge> so will discuss with people outside.
15:39:34 <mboddu> smooge: Yeah, it is
15:40:12 <mboddu> Anything works for me, as long as its accessible somewhere :D
15:40:19 <nirik> well, it
15:40:27 <nirik> s basically root access to koji
15:40:35 <nirik> so, it's pretty dang sensitive
15:41:20 <nirik> we might setup a group keepassx or something.
15:42:00 <mboddu> Okay, for now we are fine, when everyone starts traveling again, we should come up with something
15:42:01 <smooge> from talking with Patrcik, we can come up with a method to store the passwords in ansible-private if they are gpg encrypted.
15:42:11 <mboddu> As it seems only two people have access to it so far
15:42:27 <nirik> sure, thats an option too...
15:42:29 <mboddu> (Sorry to put in a weird way)
15:42:42 <nirik> although (personal opinion) GPG sucks. ;)
15:42:54 <smooge> I wanted to talk with Kevin about it when he was back and I had some other items
15:43:00 <mboddu> nirik: Haha, this is the second time you said it in few weeks :D
15:43:12 <nirik> I will keep saying it too. :)
15:43:14 <smooge> I agree on the gpg sucking.. I spent half the day getting Patrick to contact me
15:43:19 <dustymabe> man there is a 3rd meeting channel
15:43:20 <dustymabe> who knew
15:43:32 <nirik> anyhow, lets talk about this later since it's not really releng specific?
15:43:34 <smooge> damn it.. /join #fedora-meeting-4
15:43:43 <mboddu> dustymabe: Time conflicts, so we have to keep adding more channels :D
15:43:44 <nirik> dustymabe: welcome to the basement next to the old filing cabinet. ;)
15:43:54 <smooge> guarded by a tiger
15:44:21 <dustymabe> haha
15:44:25 <mboddu> Thanks smooge and nirik
15:44:35 <dustymabe> i missed the topic about the archive repo I think :(
15:45:29 <mboddu> dustymabe: Just FYI, we think its better to go with your idea rather than a week option
15:45:38 <mboddu> Mentioned by Peter
15:46:08 <mboddu> As it has every rpm rather than some rpms
15:46:21 <mboddu> Anywya
15:46:22 <dustymabe> mboddu: +1 - if you'll add that to the ticket it would be great!
15:46:27 <mboddu> Sure
15:46:49 <mboddu> But I am waiting on his actual proposal before I make any comments :D
15:46:54 <mboddu> #topic Open Floor
15:47:05 <mboddu> I have one
15:47:39 <mboddu> #info Fedora F33 is in beta freeze right now, bodhi is enabled and please make sure everyone submits FBR's if they need any changes
15:47:58 <mboddu> #undo
15:47:58 <zodbot> Removing item from minutes: INFO by mboddu at 15:47:39 : Fedora F33 is in beta freeze right now, bodhi is enabled and please make sure everyone submits FBR's if they need any changes
15:48:04 <mboddu> #info Fedora F33 is in beta freeze right now, bodhi is enabled and please make sure everyone submits FBR's if they need any changes to the infra
15:48:07 * nirik is gonna send the infra freeze in a bit.
15:48:25 <dustymabe> mboddu: that only applies to release blocking things right?
15:48:41 <dustymabe> If I submit PRs for fedora cloud base we should be OK with merging them (after review)?
15:48:49 <mboddu> dustymabe: Yes and also changing anything on the infra side (updating some pkg and what not)
15:48:58 <mboddu> dustymabe: Right, those are fine
15:49:01 <dustymabe> +1
15:50:16 <mboddu> releng, pungi-fedora, comps, kickstarts, fedora-release, fedora-repos, infra ansible... these need FBR's if they affect branched blocking artifacts
15:51:13 <mboddu> Anything else?
15:55:07 * nirik has nothing off hand
15:55:49 <mboddu> Okay, I will give back 5 min back to you guys
15:55:52 <mboddu> Thanks for joining
15:55:55 <mboddu> #endmeeting
