15:00:31 <cpacheco> .hello cpacheco
15:00:32 <zodbot> cpacheco: cpacheco 'Courtney Pacheco' <cpacheco@redhat.com>
15:00:34 <langdon> sct, thanks!
15:00:37 <langdon> .hello langdon
15:00:38 <zodbot> langdon: langdon 'Langdon White' <langdon@fishjump.com>
15:00:41 <sct> #chairs: dgilmore, cydrobolt, harald, jkurik, langdon, mikedep333, sct, tflink, threebean
15:00:58 <sct> langdon: Ah, wasn't sure if you would be here --- you're marked as PTO in the calendar
15:00:59 <nils> .hello nphilipp
15:01:00 <zodbot> nils: nphilipp 'Nils Philippsen' <nphilipp@redhat.com>
15:01:03 * langdon realized he hadn't discussed coverage of this meeting when supposed to be on PTO
15:01:04 <sct> langdon: but I'll let you drive if you want to. :)
15:01:12 <langdon> sct, nah.. go ahead
15:01:17 <langdon> im still pretty disconnected
15:01:19 * threebean is here :)
15:01:25 <sct> #topic Roll Call
15:01:40 <sct> .hello sct
15:01:41 <zodbot> sct: sct 'Stephen Tweedie' <sct@redhat.com>
15:02:01 <sct> While we're taking attendees, a reminder of the agenda:
15:02:11 <tflink> .hello tflink
15:02:12 <zodbot> tflink: tflink 'Tim Flink' <tflink@redhat.com>
15:02:16 <sct> #link Weekly agenda in usual place, http://piratepad.nl/modularity-wg-agendas
15:03:04 <langdon> sct, do we have anything specific to cover? summit seems to have had a bit of impact :/
15:03:09 <sct> Langdon is still on PTO recovering from Summit last week, and it is a .cz holiday today
15:03:10 <sct> so
15:04:01 <sct> we have few attendees and no agenda topics specifically for this week
15:04:13 <sct> I'll do open floor for questions/topics
15:05:06 <sct> OK, I see a topic on Fedora badges:
15:05:10 <sct> #topic Fedora badges
15:05:23 <sct> #info For Modularity WG on-boarding process, a badge was proposed on the Fedora Badges Trac for members who are sponsored into the Modularity FAS group
15:05:31 <sct> #link https://fedorahosted.org/fedora-badges/ticket/466
15:05:46 <threebean> ha! cool :p
15:05:53 <sct> jflory7: Thanks! Anything you want to discuss here, or do we just leave this as an info topic?
15:05:57 <threebean> any ideas on what artwork we could use for this?
15:06:09 <langdon> legos!
15:06:21 <langdon> well.. "blocks that fit together nicely" ;)
15:06:25 <threebean> https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/File:Legoset-space.jpg
15:06:35 <jflory7> sct: Mostly as an update -- the technical sides of the badge are covered, but if you guys had artwork ideas or an idea for the badge name, that would be super helpful for the Design Team to have for putting it all together. :)
15:06:47 <sct> langdon: It occurred to me that jigsaws-to-lego is a perfect analogy to modularity
15:06:54 <nils> Not sure how much bikeshedding this is, but while we use agile methodology, other groups may do that too
15:07:05 <sct> langdon: still based on smaller components, but there's no longer just one way to fit them together. :)
15:07:08 <nils> something more specific to modularity perhaps
15:07:26 <nils> "The title could be something related to AGILE - Agile Panda / Agile Warrior ow something along those lines."
15:07:34 <nils> That's what I'm referring to.
15:07:46 <langdon> nils, i personally like the jigsaw/lego theme better..
15:08:15 <jflory7> Based on previous things I've seen / read, I feel like the jigsaw / lego theme is a good one for Modularity :)
15:08:15 <nils> aye, that's a good graphical metaphor
15:08:17 <langdon> opening badge legos? later badges you upgrade to jigsaw puzzles? or if you are a "doer of things" maybe you get a jigsaw saw pic? ;)
15:08:31 * sct is a fan of lego spaceship on the wiki page. :)
15:08:49 <threebean> note that there are no 'levels' for the badge in https://fedorahosted.org/fedora-badges/ticket/466
15:08:56 <langdon> we have another floating around somewhere..
15:08:58 <threebean> it is just 'are you a member of "modularity-wg"'
15:09:00 <nils> langdon: or less to more complicated lego models?
15:09:18 <nils> Is there Lego "Duplo" (the one for really small kids) in the US?
15:09:22 <langdon> threebean, i thought the badges team preferred ranges/"levels"...
15:09:25 <nils> With big blocks?
15:09:35 <nils> threebean: ah right
15:09:36 <tflink> yeah, that's a thing in the US as well
15:09:39 <threebean> langdon: well, whether they do or not.. that's the current proposal in the ticket. ;)
15:09:46 <langdon> nils, i think i should be the only one who gets duplos .. reflective of contribution.. "not much" ;)
15:10:38 <nils> langdon: gna gna, don't sell yourself so short
15:10:42 <langdon> ok.. who wants to volunteer to add to the ticket the ^^ ideas?
15:10:58 <nils> I'll do
15:11:17 <jflory7> On the idea of a series, it might not be best for this badge (which mostly looks at membership in the FAS group), but if there are specific git repos that are used for Modularity, or maybe Taiga (if it's tracked in fedmsg, not sure), you could possibly have badges for activity / participation / contributions on those platforms.
15:11:24 <langdon> nils, don't forget the "actual jigsaw" idea.. i like that one :)
15:11:50 <langdon> jflory7, ack.. we should propose a new ticket for that right?
15:11:51 <nils> langdon: you mean as in "saw" not "puzzle"?
15:12:02 <langdon> nils, yeah.. the saw that makes the puzzles
15:12:13 <nils> noted
15:12:16 <jflory7> langdon: Yeah, that would be a new ticket. Feel free to CC me on any ticket you all file and I can help triage it / review it.
15:12:17 <threebean> taiga is not currently tracked in fedmsg.. but that could be fun to add.
15:12:49 <langdon> maybe lego like the one on the wiki page for "membership" .. first commit.. "saw" .. 10 commits, duplos, 50 commits: "special lego pic" ..
15:12:55 <langdon> i just made that stuff up ;)
15:13:26 <langdon> or duplo pics for commits to "module stacks"..
15:13:35 <langdon> omg.. i got off on huge tangents with this kind of thing
15:13:42 <langdon> *go off
15:14:17 <threebean> I'll comment on the ticket with artwork ideas :0
15:14:20 <nils> langdon: I think the actual jigsaw would work for us, and puzzle pieces for badges that reflect "use" of modularity?
15:14:43 <nils> yeah, off of that tangent, we can braindump in the ticket :o)
15:14:52 <jflory7> Thanks all for taking a look here :)
15:14:58 <langdon> i haven't a clue.. leave it to the experts.. and let's just propose some ideas ;)
15:15:24 <sct> #info Lots of interest in lego and jigsaw imagery... comments welcome in the ticket!
15:15:41 <sct> OK, any other topics for today?
15:15:49 <nils> sct++
15:15:49 <zodbot> nils: Karma for sct changed to 2 (for the f24 release cycle): https://badges.fedoraproject.org/tags/cookie/any
15:15:52 <sct> (or closing comments on the badges?)
15:16:48 <sct> Last call...
15:17:17 <sct> OK all, many thanks for joining!
