22:40:20 <brainycmurf> #topic F37 release status
22:40:22 <brainycmurf> - Kalev just finished building GNOME 43 release, plans to move on to updating Flatpaks for F37 (already have a runtime built)
22:40:25 <brainycmurf> - Will send out a heads-up when the packages hit the testing repos (probably tomorrow, Sep 21 - which is the GNOME 43 release day)
22:40:28 <brainycmurf> #topic Blockers discussed last week
22:40:30 <brainycmurf> On testing:
22:40:32 <brainycmurf> #info Update gnome-shell-extension-background-logo to 43.0
22:40:34 <brainycmurf> #link https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2127192
22:40:36 <brainycmurf> Open:
22:40:38 <brainycmurf> #info Unable to set up enterprise account with gnome-initial-setup, clicking continue does not join the domain
22:40:41 <brainycmurf> #link https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2123494
22:40:45 <brainycmurf> - Kalev has an open upstream MR which fixes warnings, but not known if it fixes the issue. Testing seems tricky - Fedora QA doesn't have anything automated. Allan asked whether this should be a release criterion if we don't have good testing. Opinions expressed that this is important for certain users of Fedora.
22:40:49 <brainycmurf> #info Initial Setup uses the English keyboard, instead of the default keyboard
22:40:51 <brainycmurf> #link https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2121110
22:40:53 <brainycmurf> - Carlos pushed a fix which Kalev backported, but it still fails for Kamil from Fedora QA. Carlos is going to take another look at this.
22:40:56 <brainycmurf> #info Windows with bitlocker enabled can't be booted, needs to use bootnext instead of chainloader
22:40:59 <brainycmurf> #link https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2049849 [have to work around by changing boot order in the bios or using efibootmgr]
22:41:02 <brainycmurf> #info Adam's proposing that we drop the release criteria for this
22:41:04 <brainycmurf> #link https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/test@lists.fedoraproject.org/message/YT24WA7W6HYHOENBKDJ66PMZ4CHBTBMM/
22:41:07 <brainycmurf> (for F36, we kept the criteria but got na exception to ship because it was "too hard to fix")
22:41:09 <brainycmurf> - Question whether we should drop criteria entirely if Microsoft is moving toward bitlocker for default - for now we aren't going to do that
22:41:12 <brainycmurf> - Allan has an action to set up a meeting with the bootloader team to discuss
22:41:16 <brainycmurf> - We should fix os-prober not to create entries for Windows and Mac OS, since we can't chain-load either
22:41:19 <brainycmurf> - Chris: open question what we do for BIOS systems, since they *do* need entries to chain-load
22:41:21 <brainycmurf> #nfo [abrt] totem: nouveau_pushbuf_data(): totem killed by SIGABRT
22:41:23 <brainycmurf> #link https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2123274
22:41:25 <brainycmurf> - Adam wants fixes backported for F37. It's a little unclear what Karol means in the latest comment.
22:41:28 <brainycmurf> #info Correct property name in GsRemovalDialog .ui file
22:41:30 <brainycmurf> #link https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2125569
22:41:32 <brainycmurf> - There's an outstanding UI issue that Milan is working on upstream.
22:41:34 <brainycmurf> Freeze exceptions
22:41:36 <brainycmurf> #info System menu shows only 8 VPN connections even if you have more
22:41:38 <brainycmurf> #link https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2125426
22:41:40 <brainycmurf> - There is no upstream fix in the works, so this is not going to get fixed for F37
22:41:42 <brainycmurf> Previously discussed
22:41:46 <brainycmurf> #info When a single contact is edited, it results in multiple contacts of the same name
22:41:48 <brainycmurf> #link https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2111003
22:41:50 <brainycmurf> - Seems fixed
22:41:52 <brainycmurf> #info screencast doesn't record the top layer
22:41:54 <brainycmurf> #link https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2125439
22:41:56 <brainycmurf> - Seems that the tester didn't have the prexisting fix
22:41:58 <brainycmurf> #topic Improve the user feedback for OOM situations
22:42:00 <brainycmurf> #link https://pagure.io/fedora-workstation/issue/202
22:42:02 <brainycmurf> Fixes got merged in systemd and gnome-settings-daemon that will give notification when there is an oom kill. We don't have testing that it works, but the code is in Fedora 37.
