15:00:41 <pwhalen> #topic roll call
15:00:52 * coremodule is here, good morning pwhalen
15:01:07 <pwhalen> And a good morning to you, sir!
15:01:29 * pwhalen gives it a couple of minutes to see if others join
15:01:58 * pbrobinson o/
15:02:58 <coremodule> adamw had relayed that you needed more ARM testing, so I am spinning up some images right now. Anything in specific that needs work?
15:03:42 <pwhalen> coremodule: we always need more testing :)
15:03:48 <pwhalen> https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Test_Results:Fedora_35_Branched_20211018.n.0_Installation?rd=Test_Results:Current_Installation_Test
15:04:10 <pwhalen> Jump right in! Any time you can.
15:04:30 <pbrobinson> coremodule: you can tell adamw that a whole bunch of contributors were provided hardware to spread the testing over more people than just pwhalen
15:04:32 * jlinton waves
15:04:46 <pwhalen> ok, jlinton is here.. lets do this!
15:04:56 <pwhalen> #topic 1) ==== Userspace Status  ====
15:05:06 <pwhalen> Any new issues?
15:05:22 <pbrobinson> none that I'm aware of
15:05:50 <pwhalen> Same
15:05:54 <pwhalen> #info No new issues.
15:06:01 <pwhalen> #topic 2) ==== Kernel Status ====
15:06:11 <pwhalen> #info kernel-5.15.0-0.rc6.47.fc36
15:06:11 <pwhalen> #link https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=1846599
15:06:25 <jlinton> I'm going to grumble about the !new issue of simpledrm not yet working, so we still have problems with sddm/gdm on machines without DRM
15:06:34 <pwhalen> I started to look at 5.15 more this week, will continue. No issues so far
15:06:48 <pbrobinson> jlinton: I've already had those grumbles from others
15:06:49 * pwhalen was just reading that bug report
15:07:25 <pbrobinson> jlinton: it's not that straight forward sadly, there's still issues, Javier and I were looking at it, and there was some enhancements landed esp for arm
15:08:09 <jlinton> Well deciding that there isn't a DRM on the machine and forcing a fallback to X11 should be fairly straightforward.
15:08:38 <jlinton> The sddm problem doesn't really even look like its entirely related to drm.
15:08:44 <pbrobinson> jlinton: all that used to work
15:09:01 <jlinton> Right, its been on/off for a few years (even on x86)
15:09:32 <jlinton> I've been flipping my thunderx2 between gdm/sddm on a 6 month cadence because on or the other isn't working right.
15:10:45 <pwhalen> at least one works when the other doesnt
15:11:00 <pwhalen> #info kernel-5.14.13-300.fc35
15:11:00 <pwhalen> #link https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=1846290sa
15:11:41 <pwhalen> no issues with 5.14. Has anyone hit anything not yet reported?
15:12:23 <pbrobinson> there's a TPM2 issue when it's attached via SPI but that's still being discussed upstream
15:12:39 <pbrobinson> I've seen it on a TPM I've got attached to a RPi4
15:12:40 <pwhalen> My access to enterprise hardware has been greatly diminished in the last couple of weeks due to a storage issue. Looks better today so I should be able to get more testing done
15:12:53 <pbrobinson> is there a ticket for the storage issue?
15:13:11 <pwhalen> Right, I think you had a need info on the clevis blocker
15:13:24 <pwhalen> pbrobinson: there is, sending via pm
15:13:55 <pbrobinson> the clevis blocker is a different issue, although the user could be confusing the two
15:15:18 <pwhalen> ok, is there another bug?
15:16:15 <pbrobinson> yes
15:16:27 * pbrobinson awaiting RHBZ reload
15:16:37 <pwhalen> heh, we could be here a while
15:17:15 <pbrobinson> the last "upgrade" was dreadful
15:17:18 <pwhalen> #info Please test and report any issues to the list or #fedora-arm.

15:20:39 <pwhalen> #topic 3) ==== Bootloader Status ====
15:20:50 <pwhalen> #info uboot-tools-2021.10-2.fc35
15:20:50 <pwhalen> #link https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=1846324
15:21:50 <pwhalen> Looks like that's stable now
15:22:28 <pwhalen> pbrobinson: is it safe to upgrade the pbp?
15:25:30 <pbrobinson> I *think* so, definitely if you're running it off MMC/mSD, I have had issues recovering mine, I'm sure it's because I'm holding it wrong (having issues shorting out SPI clk pins)
15:26:40 <pwhalen> Ok, Thanks. might bite the bullet today then. I dont have a serial cable for it so really cautious, if someone else beats me to it, please let us know
15:26:56 <pwhalen> #topic 4) ==== Fedora 35 ====

15:28:03 <pwhalen> A new one was reported, which I think is a blocker for us
15:28:07 <pwhalen> #info It is possible to go through the initial setup without creating a root and without adding a user to the wheel group
15:28:07 <pwhalen> #link https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2015490
15:30:12 <pwhalen> Looks like I am getting outvoted though. Please add your votes:

15:31:44 <pwhalen> The other blocker pending is
15:31:51 <pwhalen> #info Fedora 35 aarch64 cloud image based openstack VM hangs
15:31:51 <pwhalen> #link https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2011928
15:33:09 <pwhalen> I dont know how bad this one is, I wasnt able to reproduce. Definitely makes aarch64 unusable on this particular provider. Seems running dnf can trigger it

15:37:00 <pwhalen> In better news, the Jetson Nano bug was fixed, yay!
