15:02:37 <pwhalen> #topic roll call
15:02:46 <pwhalen> Sorry for the late start, got distracted
15:02:54 <pwhalen> who's here today?
15:03:16 * pbrobinson is
15:05:16 * jlinton waves
15:05:38 <pwhalen> howdy jlinton
15:05:47 <pwhalen> lets get started
15:05:54 <pwhalen> #topic 1) ==== Userspace Status  ====
15:06:11 <pwhalen> Any new userspace issues?
15:07:02 <pbrobinson> there's the armhfp issue that jlinton has been kindly assisting with
15:07:42 <pwhalen> yes, perhaps we wait for f33 for that one
15:07:48 <pwhalen> #info No new issues reported.
15:08:03 <pwhalen> #topic 2) ==== Kernel Status ====
15:08:03 <pwhalen> #info Latest kernel-5.7.0-1.fc33
15:08:04 <pwhalen> #link https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=1519014
15:08:46 <pwhalen> 5.7 GA is building now, has anyone seen any issues with the previous RC?
15:09:13 <pbrobinson> not tested any of the 5.7 stuff, will do this week as I get my lab back up and running
15:09:28 <jlinton> That one should have the usb fix, as well as a bunch of rpi fixes
15:10:14 <pwhalen> Nice, no issues with RC7.1 on a variety of arm/aarch64 boards here
15:10:41 <pwhalen> #info Please test and report any issues to the list or #fedora-arm.
15:11:32 <pwhalen> Any other kernel news/issues?
15:12:27 <pwhalen> #topic 3) ==== Bootloader Status ====
15:12:52 <pwhalen> I dont think anything has changed since the last meeting
15:13:06 <pbrobinson> should be a new u-boot some time in the next few days, never got to it
15:13:27 <jlinton> No, but booting the armhfp again, raised my own personal priority on getting grub into the efi system partition and getting it marked correctly.
15:14:37 <jlinton> The sequence for booting it in a libvirt vm, requires either extracting the kernel from the disk images, and either booting it via qemu, or moving the kernel/initrd to the system partition
15:15:10 <pbrobinson> jlinton: yes, let's try and get that sorted in the next week or so
15:15:38 <jlinton> yah, I spent more time trying to understand the fedora kickstart/etc than on the glibc bits last week
15:16:12 <pbrobinson> jlinton: you should just ping me
15:16:12 <pwhalen> #info New uboot expected this week, time permitting.
15:17:03 <pwhalen> #topic 4) ==== Fedora 33 ====
15:17:18 <pwhalen> #info systemd crashes when booting rawhide on armhfp
15:17:18 <pwhalen> #link https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1831239
15:17:24 <pwhalen> jlinton++
15:17:58 <pwhalen> thanks very much for taking that one on
15:18:04 <jlinton> Yah, I bisected it down to a commit in the git branch last night
15:18:28 <jlinton> at least in my test setup that was the problematic one, but i've already chased one ghost
15:19:02 <jlinton> So this morning, i'm going to give them a core and the glibc.so
15:19:52 <pwhalen> looks promising so far. Very appreciated. If I can crudely bash something for you by all means let me know
15:20:47 <jlinton> I didn't realize we were running untagged branches in rawhide
15:21:46 <pwhalen> #info Aarch64 Pointer Authentication Change for Fedora 33
15:21:47 <pwhalen> #link https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/Aarch64_PointerAuthentication
15:22:17 <pwhalen> Has there been any other queries on the change proposal?
15:24:19 <pwhalen> I havent seen any, but not been monitoring closely.
15:24:40 <jlinton> No, I've not seen anything, I checked the FESCO meeting schedule and didn't see it there ehter
15:25:20 <pwhalen> jlinton: I checked as well and didnt see them discussing them at all either.
15:25:52 <jlinton> I need to tweak it a bit, looks like i'm going to have to find out where I need to give it a push
15:25:58 <pwhalen> perhaps an upcoming meeting to discuss more of a batch
15:28:09 <pwhalen> Anything else for F33?
15:29:12 <pbrobinson> not from me this week
15:29:25 <pwhalen> #topic 5)  == Open Floor ==
15:30:03 <pwhalen> #link https://www.raspberrypi.org/blog/8gb-raspberry-pi-4-on-sale-now-at-75/
15:30:37 <jlinton> I should be getting on this week, the plan it to assure that it works with the pftf/etc
15:31:01 <jlinton> although i'm going to have to take a more serious look at the _DMA() patch which was merged in 5.7 because I don't think it works right
15:31:06 <pwhalen> I just got one last night, booted fedora a few minutes before the meeting
15:31:21 <jlinton> and I end up running my 4G models with the 3G limit in ACPI mode
15:32:16 <jlinton> with the native fedora image?
15:32:17 <pwhalen> still limited to 3G :( I booted silverblue iso with acpi, but it was a 2G rpi4 so didnt notice
15:32:36 <pwhalen> yes, with the rawhide image.. only sees 4G ram though
15:34:13 <pwhalen> Anything else for today?
15:34:37 <pwhalen> #endmeeting
