15:00:28 <pwhalen> good morning folks, who's here today?
15:00:30 * pbrobinson is here
15:05:55 * jlinton waves
15:06:06 <pbrobinson> hey jlinton
15:06:15 <pwhalen> howdy jlinton
15:06:31 <pwhalen> ok, lets get started
15:06:38 <pwhalen> #topic 1) ==== Userspace Status  ====
15:06:57 <pwhalen> #info Karma needed for bcm283x-firmware-20200326-1.5574077.fc32
15:06:57 <pwhalen> #link https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2020-a366fc485c
15:07:20 <pwhalen> Is anyone aware of any new issues?
15:07:41 <pbrobinson> around the firmware or in general?
15:08:04 <pwhalen> sorry, in general.. that was just a call for karma
15:08:29 <pbrobinson> most things I've tested seem fine
15:08:49 <pbrobinson> like everything there's probably a bunch I've missed/dropped
15:08:57 <pwhalen> #info No new issues reported.
15:10:06 <pwhalen> #topic 2) ==== Kernel Status ====
15:10:15 <pwhalen> #info Latest kernel-5.6.0-300.fc32
15:10:15 <pwhalen> #link https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=1486276
15:10:48 <pwhalen> 5.6 GA has landed, I've tested a bunch of hardware and no issues so far..
15:11:03 <pwhalen> has anyone hit any issues?
15:11:07 <pbrobinson> I've tested it across 20 odd devices OK and added karma, it looks reasonable to me
15:11:25 <jlinton> Yah, same here works as expected.
15:11:35 <pbrobinson> I think I'll have a few minor patches to fix a few bits
15:11:47 <pbrobinson> but over all it's looking OK
15:12:54 <pwhalen> #link Please add karma after testing - https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2020-e8b6474ee5
15:13:51 <pwhalen> any other kernel news?
15:14:39 <pbrobinson> nothing that comes to mind
15:14:44 <pwhalen> #topic 3) ==== Bootloader Status ====
15:15:00 <pwhalen> I dont think anything has changed here, any issues?
15:15:37 <pwhalen> #info No change, no issues reported.
15:16:28 <pwhalen> #topic 4) ==== Fedora 32 Final ====
15:16:42 <pwhalen> #info Fedora 32 Final Freeze - 2020-04-07
15:17:00 <pbrobinson> we'll have a new U-Boot build later today, will message to channel when it's built
15:17:00 <pwhalen> #info F32 Final release(target) - 2020-04-21
15:17:09 <pbrobinson> just doing some fixes here
15:17:30 <pwhalen> excellent, will keep an eye out for it.
15:17:53 <pwhalen> #info Fedora 32 Final Blockers
15:17:53 <pwhalen> #link https://qa.fedoraproject.org/blockerbugs/milestone/32/final/buglist
15:18:22 * pbrobinson looks
15:18:51 <pwhalen> nothing arm specific, nothing looks really bad
15:19:06 <jlinton> Well at least kde works on bare metal on aarch64
15:19:14 <pbrobinson> give it time
15:21:02 <pwhalen> jlinton what hardware did you test kde on?
15:21:05 <jlinton> rpi4
15:21:09 <jlinton> hehe
15:21:34 <pwhalen> :)
15:21:49 <pwhalen> #info Latest nominated nightly
15:21:49 <pwhalen> #link https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Test_Results:Current_Installation_Test
15:21:52 <jlinton> no acceleration obviously
15:22:04 <pbrobinson> ha
15:22:07 <pwhalen> right :)
15:22:08 <jlinton> but I can spin it up on the gt710
15:22:29 <jlinton> I switched to kde because gnome was pegging the cpu's in mesa
15:22:43 <kalev> what's missing for rpi4 acceleration?
15:22:59 <jlinton> Drivers, bindings?
15:23:02 <pbrobinson> kalev: the upstream support
15:23:09 <jlinton> I'm booting the rpi in ACPI mode
15:23:35 <jlinton> so its running on the UEFI GOP driver
15:23:51 <kalev> pbrobinson: the upstream support in what? mesa? kernel?
15:23:54 <pbrobinson> kalev: there was a ~ 80 patch series that touches like half a dozen kernel subsystems that began to enable the support. Not tenable for pulling in to Fedora
15:24:08 <kalev> ahh, thanks
15:25:23 <pwhalen> we've not had a nominated nightly in a while, composes were failing but I've not checked why. Yesterday was a network issue iiuc
15:25:33 <pbrobinson> kalev: https://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/dri-devel/2020-February/256515.html
15:26:11 <pbrobinson> and that's one component
15:26:27 * kalev nods.
15:27:29 <pwhalen> anything else for F32?
15:27:41 <pbrobinson> just a call for testing the latest nightlies
15:28:32 <pwhalen> #topic 5)  == Open Floor ==
15:28:55 <pwhalen> Anything for open floor?
15:30:02 <pbrobinson> planning for F-33 for people to start to think about
15:30:09 <pbrobinson> jlinton: that's partially for you
15:30:25 <jlinton> Yah, I'm not sure much has changed since the last discussion.
15:30:31 <jlinton> Its worthwhile to flip on PAC
15:31:02 <jlinton> I ran the builds in VM's without problems
15:31:23 <pbrobinson> jlinton: that's just cflags?
15:31:24 <jlinton> and outside of what I think is a firmware problem it booted on the v8.4 model as well
15:31:41 <jlinton> yah, I just updated the default flags in my mock configuration and then rebuilt all the packages I could
15:31:50 <jlinton> a few failed, but I think that was the build env more than the flags
15:32:09 <pbrobinson> right, OK, will work with you to get that in rawhide
15:32:59 <jlinton> although it was with gcc9
15:34:26 <tdawson> I'm so sorry I'm late, conflicting meeting.
15:34:45 <tdawson> Reading scrollback, I don't see anything about documentation for the f32 images, or did I miss that.
15:34:58 <pwhalen> tdawson, no worries. Was just about to #endmeeting
15:35:05 <pwhalen> which documentation?
15:35:10 <pbrobinson> tdawson: you mean for IoT, arm stuff hasn't changed
15:35:14 <pbrobinson> ?
15:35:24 <tdawson> Doh ... wrong meeting.
15:35:28 <pbrobinson> :)
15:35:30 <pwhalen> :)
15:35:35 <pbrobinson> tdawson: wrong day too ;-)
15:35:40 <tdawson> Yep
15:35:45 <jlinton> Although, there are probably some install/etc instructions that need the versions changed
15:35:49 <pbrobinson> at least you're not late!
15:35:49 <jlinton> in the wiki
15:36:02 <pwhalen> right, I'll look at updating the wiki
15:36:03 <jlinton> that seems to be a common problem I see when I look at the docs
15:36:13 <jlinton> yah, I update them when I see them.
15:36:34 <pwhalen> heh, thanks.
15:37:24 <pwhalen> #endmeeting
