15:00:44 <pwhalen> good morning folks, who's here today?
15:01:06 * tdawson is here.
15:02:05 * pbrobinson o/
15:02:38 <tdawson> My cat is here as well ... so I apologize if there are any random ... stuff ... said by me.
15:02:55 <pwhalen> heh, we welcome all
15:03:03 <pbrobinson> tdawson: that's fine as long as he accepts all action items for you too ;-)
15:03:29 <tdawson> pbrobinson: Now you did it ... he ran on when you said that.
15:03:37 <pbrobinson> LOL
15:04:39 <pwhalen> ok, lets get started..
15:04:41 <pwhalen> #topic 1) ==== Userspace Status  ====
15:04:59 <pwhalen> Any new issues?
15:05:15 <pbrobinson> none I'm directly aware of
15:06:12 <pwhalen> #info No new issues reported.
15:06:38 <pwhalen> #topic 2) ==== Kernel Status ====
15:06:45 <pwhalen> #info F30: kernel-5.0.9-300.fc30
15:06:45 <pwhalen> #link https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=1252941
15:07:22 <pwhalen> I've not had a chance to test yet, but will do so today. No issues with the previous kernel.
15:07:48 <pwhalen> #info F31: kernel-5.1.0-0.rc6.git0.1.fc31
15:07:48 <pwhalen> #link https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=1253105
15:08:27 <pbrobinson> it seems fine, there's a CVE for brcm wifi in there which is useful for a bunch of Arm platforms, but I'm not sure they'd want it in for F-30 GA
15:09:22 <pwhalen> last week I tested 5.1 rc5 to check if the armv7 builder issue(BZ#1576593) was any better, sadly no change.
15:10:18 <pwhalen> has anyone hit issues with either kernel?
15:10:47 <tdawson> Not I
15:10:48 <pbrobinson> jlinton: is there any chance you have some cycles to try to get to the bottom of the ARMv7 vm pausing on aarch64 issue we have with the builders?
15:11:19 <jlinton> I haven't looked at that, but I guess I can
15:11:33 <jlinton> cycles wise, a few hours here/there
15:11:55 <jlinton> I thought the general conculusion it was hitting an xgene bug
15:11:57 <pbrobinson> jlinton: that would be awesome, pwhalen can assist, it's starting (or long is) to cause people stress
15:12:28 <pbrobinson> jlinton: I'm going to get a emag on loan from packet to see if we can recreate it on the newer HW
15:12:32 <jlinton> I can try spinning it up in beaker
15:13:03 <pwhalen> jlinton, it would be greatly appreciated. Our armv7 builders are stuck on F27
15:13:05 <jlinton> I've been running VM's on my TX2 and seattle a fair amount
15:13:12 <jlinton> but I haven't seen anything like the reported bug
15:14:46 <pwhalen> jlinton, right, I've only seen it on xgene (m400,mustang), doesnt matter the host os (Fedora or RHEL)
15:15:01 <pbrobinson> pwhalen: what HW haven't you seen it on?
15:15:27 <jlinton> (the tx2's vm are obviously not 32-bit)
15:15:50 <jlinton> but on seattle, i've been building FF with a 32-bit VM
15:15:56 <pwhalen> Not seen it on Seattle, but also not tested it as much there.
15:17:02 <pwhalen> jlinton, seems to affect only some builds, kernel, binutils, qt5
15:17:41 <pwhalen> sorry, glibc not binutils
15:18:48 <pbrobinson> yea. so there's something/some call triggering it, the question is how to capture that
15:19:57 <pwhalen> any other kernel news?
15:20:35 <pwhalen> #info Please test and report any issues to the list or #fedora-arm.
15:20:43 <pwhalen> #topic 3) ==== Bootloader Status ====
15:21:10 <pwhalen> #info uboot-tools-2019.04-1.fc30
15:21:17 <pwhalen> #link https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=1252462
15:21:57 <pbrobinson> this is a blocker request, please test and add karma
15:22:01 <pwhalen> #info This fixes the sata boot issues on A20 hardware.
15:24:01 <pwhalen> #topic 4) == F30 ==
15:24:36 <pwhalen> #info 2019-04-30 - Fedora 30 Final Release (GA) (Preferred Target)
15:25:23 <pwhalen> I missed the blocker meeting yesterday, but looking over the meeting notes there are a few outstanding blockers to be fixed before an RC request
15:25:54 <pwhalen> #info F30 Blocker bug list - https://qa.fedoraproject.org/blockerbugs/milestone/30/final/buglist
15:27:57 <pwhalen> has anyone seen any issues not reported?
15:27:58 <tdawson> Sorry to backtrack, but I don't see a bodhi update request for uboot-tools-2019.04-1.fc30
15:28:20 <pwhalen> tdawson, https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2019-71dc167df7
15:28:51 <pwhalen> (and thanks! :))
15:29:04 <tdawson> Oh ... and it's in the blocking bug list too ... got it.
15:29:28 <tdawson> I don't have an allweather that boots from SATA, but I have an allweather
15:29:41 <pwhalen> tdawson, great if you test aarch64 rpi3, which is what I think you would test
15:30:04 <pwhalen> tdawson, or an Allwinner?
15:30:16 <tdawson> *laughs* Yep ... that too :)
15:30:17 <pwhalen> I think most of the A20's have a sata
15:31:10 <pwhalen> anyways, whatever testing you can do is appreciated. I've confirmed the A20 part as well as someone on the mailing list
15:31:57 <pwhalen> #topic 5)  == Open Floor ==
15:32:39 * pwhalen leaves open floor for a couple minutes while he deals with a SIG-nature
15:34:35 <tdawson> Sorry, I had to deal with cat issues.
15:35:04 <tdawson> Ya, my pcduino3-nano has an A20 ... problem is I don't have the correct cable to connect the SATA.
15:36:08 <pbrobinson> tdawson: I think we should be good, I need to test mine later today, overall I've tested over a dozen devices with the GA release and it seems fine
15:36:31 <pbrobinson> tdawson: you don't need to test every device to add positive karma ;-)
15:36:38 <pbrobinson> or negative
15:37:13 <tdawson> pbrobinson: OK, I should be able to test in an hour or so ... as long as it doesn't break anything, I'll give it some positive karma.
15:37:27 <pwhalen> right, couple or even one is good
15:37:33 <pwhalen> thanks tdawson
