15:00:23 <pwhalen> morning folks whos here this week?
15:00:29 <jlinton> good morning
15:01:13 * pbrobinson o/
15:01:15 <pwhalen> how're you doing jlinton ?
15:01:36 <jlinton> Good. how about yourself?
15:02:01 <pwhalen> not too bad, thanks :)
15:02:30 <pwhalen> ok, well lets get started
15:02:40 <pwhalen> #topic 1) ==== Userspace Status  ====
15:03:01 <pwhalen> any userspace issues to discuss? build or otherwise?
15:03:54 <pbrobinson> none that I'm aware of
15:03:56 <pwhalen> #info No userspace issues reported.
15:04:07 <pbrobinson> there's a F27 mass rebuild due to kick off some time RSN
15:04:31 <pbrobinson> mostly for new glibc features, and s390x rebuild
15:04:40 <pwhalen> ah right, I hadnt checked on the status from last week
15:05:07 <pbrobinson> it's ready to go, not sure why it wasn't kicked off Fri
15:05:47 <pwhalen> right, last I saw said it was ready but nothing after
15:06:12 <pwhalen> #info F27 mass rebuild to start some time this week.
15:06:35 <pwhalen> #topic 2) ==== Kernel Status ====
15:06:44 <pwhalen> #info kernel-4.13.0-0.rc1.git0.1.fc27
15:06:51 <pwhalen> #link https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=919595
15:07:23 <pbrobinson> #info 4.12 rebase for stable should happen shortly to 4.12.2+
15:08:08 <pwhalen> is anyone aware of any issues in 4.12?
15:08:45 <jlinton> No its working fine on my machine at the moment.
15:09:44 <pwhalen> #info Please test and report any issues to the list or #fedora-arm.
15:10:11 <pwhalen> #topic 3) ==== Bootloader Status ====
15:10:28 <pwhalen> #info Testing uboot-tools-2017.05-5. Includes fix for data abort when using the network in Uboot.
15:10:38 <pwhalen> #link https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=918396
15:11:07 <pwhalen> this needs wider testing, so please test on the device near and dear to your heart and report any issues you encounter
15:11:12 <jlinton> There is a bug in the latest edk2 for juno which causes grub to be unable to load the grub.cfg again.
15:12:08 <jlinton> Its been there since ~may.
15:12:15 <pbrobinson> woo! jlinton is there a bug report for it somewhere?
15:12:29 <pwhalen> #info Bug in the latest edk2 for juno which causes grub to be unable to load the grub.cfg
15:12:40 <pbrobinson> is it purely juno or generic (ie could affect virt if it's rebased)?
15:13:00 <jlinton> No, I was seeing if the commit author had anything to say. But I will probably post a message to the mailing list about it RSN.
15:13:12 <pwhalen> thanks jlinton
15:13:36 <jlinton> No, it appears to be in the PCI rework, so I suspect its juno specific.
15:14:15 <jlinton> Its quite odd because the sata/pci is functional enough to read grub, but grub itself is failing.
15:14:36 <jlinton> I bisected down to a single commit, but its sort of an odd one.
15:17:42 <pwhalen> #topic 4) == Open Floor ==
15:18:04 <jlinton> I also have firefox/chrome on the back burner
15:18:21 <jlinton> I have a "hack" fix to make FF run on aarch64 at the moment.
15:18:57 <kwizart> <pwhalen> is anyone aware of any issues in 4.12? there is a tegra-drm issue with iommu init:
15:19:00 <kwizart> http://marc.info/?l=linux-arm-kernel&m=149971523129685&w=2
15:19:04 <jlinton> I sent pbrobinson the general idea.. but the correct fix is going to be a rework of the stack allocation
15:19:15 <kwizart> it should be headed to 4.12.x fixes real soon
15:19:46 <pbrobinson> kwizart: I saw that upstream, but I've not seen a fix, is that link the fix?
15:20:36 <kwizart> pbrobinson, yep, that's the complex fix that should go into 4.12.x, but the easier fix is another one
15:20:36 <pbrobinson> kwizart: is there also a patch that adds the iommu note to the DT?
15:20:44 <kwizart> pbrobinson, so you got it
15:20:46 <kwizart> indeed
15:20:53 <pbrobinson> got a link to that patch?
15:21:49 <jlinton> pbrobinson: Did you enable the CPPC?
15:22:13 <pbrobinson> jlinton: not yet, but it's on my list, just in the middle of trying to get to the bottom of another issue
15:22:16 <kwizart> pbrobinson, http://marc.info/?l=linux-kernel&m=149961822114457&w=2
15:22:27 <pbrobinson> jlinton: will enable it in 4.13+
15:23:05 <pbrobinson> kwizart: thanks, will add both of those to our kernel while they make it upstream
15:23:30 <pwhalen> lots of change coming for f27, we'll discuss it more over the coming weeks and how it impact us as the details are hashed out
15:23:46 <jlinton> Also, I want to bring up making aarch64 primary.
15:24:13 <pbrobinson> jlinton: I'm planning on putting a request in to make server primary
15:24:29 <pbrobinson> possibly cloud too
15:24:38 <pbrobinson> I don't think it makes sense for workstation ATM
15:24:57 <jlinton> I agree, although i'm running it as my desktop now.
15:25:16 <jlinton> (hence why I care about FF!)
15:26:23 <pbrobinson> jlinton: sure, and it might make sense soon, but probably not in the F-27 timeframe from a widely available decent device PoV
15:26:57 <pwhalen> anything else for open floor?
15:27:37 <pbrobinson> I suppose mostly anyone working on anything for F-27?
15:29:22 <jlinton> Do you have any requests?
15:30:52 <pwhalen> lets discuss it in channel
15:30:57 <pwhalen> #endmeeting
