15:00:36 <pwhalen> morning folks, whos here today?
15:01:21 * pbrobinson o/
15:04:21 <pwhalen> ok, lets get started
15:04:24 <pwhalen> #topic 0) ==== F26 Alpha Released! ====
15:04:32 <pwhalen> #info ARMhfp - https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Architectures/ARM/F26/Installation
15:04:32 <pwhalen> #info AArch64 - https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Architectures/AArch64/F26/Installation
15:04:59 <pwhalen> I need to touch up the aarch64 wiki still, will do so today.
15:05:07 <pbrobinson> #info Raspberry Pi 3 WiFi supported in F-26 Alpha, see wiki for details https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Raspberry_Pi
15:06:42 <pwhalen> anything else to mention for Alpha?
15:07:09 <jlinton> A26 looks good!
15:07:27 <pwhalen> jlinton, good to hear! :) thanks for all your work on it
15:07:52 <pbrobinson> nothing from me, just report issues and test!
15:08:21 <pwhalen> #info Please test and report any issues to the list or #fedora-arm.
15:08:29 <pwhalen> #topic 1) ==== Userspace Status  ====
15:08:45 <pwhalen> Do we have any userspace issues? builds or otherwise?
15:10:06 <pbrobinson> jlinton: I might need your help with polkit
15:10:11 <jlinton> ?
15:10:29 <jlinton> I posted a move to mozjs38, but polkit itself?
15:10:42 <pbrobinson> jlinton: I moved it to you're patch set, it's got issues, I'm going to move to a full upstream snapshot (when I can get it to build in koji) with the mozjs38 patches
15:11:02 <pbrobinson> and see if that helps, if it doesn't, might need some assistance
15:11:04 <jlinton> It has issues because of my patches?
15:11:10 * jonmasters in
15:11:23 <pwhalen> morning jonmasters
15:11:30 <jonmasters> morning, sorry I am late
15:11:44 <pwhalen> np. thanks for joining
15:12:17 <pbrobinson> jonmasters: o/
15:12:27 <jlinton> pbrobinson: I've got time to look at it today/tomorrow, just let me know what your seeing
15:12:38 <pbrobinson> jlinton: will do
15:13:06 <pwhalen> #topic 2) ==== Kernel Status ====
15:13:26 <pwhalen> #info kernel-4.11.0-0.rc5.git0.1.fc26
15:13:26 <pwhalen> #info Notable changes: Disable 64K pages on aarch64
15:13:32 <pwhalen> #link https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=875266
15:14:03 <pwhalen> Ive not had time to test this at all, but will do so later today.
15:14:13 <pbrobinson> as previously discussed with jonmasters and others to sufficiently be able to support SBCs we've currently disabled 64K page sizes as of 4.11rc5
15:14:48 <jonmasters> For the record - for anyone who reads this - Fedora's switch to 4K is related to supporting SBCs. This *DOES NOT* mean that Red Hat or CentOS will follow (they will not)
15:14:48 <jlinton> Yah, that will fix a few things (including nvidia support)
15:15:06 <jlinton> but we no longer have the visibility of whats broken
15:15:27 <jlinton> (just fixed a hikey/edk2 problem because of reserved region alignment)
15:15:46 <jonmasters> jlinton: pbrobinson and I discussed this. We would like ARM to solve this with runtime page size selection, but that will probably never happen
15:15:59 <pbrobinson> jlinton: yes, I'm aware, and it's not a decision I've taken lightly but we need to be able to better support those devices and 64K pages there cause us more problems than fixes
15:16:29 <pbrobinson> there was a good session about it at Linaro Connect but no decisive decision from the discussions
15:16:51 * jlinton chuckles
15:17:20 <pbrobinson> jlinton: don't make me slap you ;-)
15:18:38 <pwhalen> #info Please test and report any issues to the list or #fedora-arm.
15:18:54 <pwhalen> #topic 3) ==== Bootloader Status ====
15:20:57 <pwhalen> anythign of note here? grub2-efi in alpha is broken for pxe boots, but will be fixed next build (before beta)
15:21:49 <pbrobinson> that's been the case for some time, the fix is known, the maintainer has it on his list but he has higher priorities ATM
15:23:27 <pwhalen> #topic 4) ==== F26 Beta ====
15:23:53 <pwhalen> #link https://qa.fedoraproject.org/blockerbugs/milestone/26/beta/buglist
15:24:08 <pbrobinson> anything here we need for beta or issues that people are aware of
15:24:26 <pwhalen> freeze should be lifted tomorrow morning iiuc
15:25:22 <pwhalen> initial-setup has issues on some boards, I've filed a bug but I'll proposed as a beta blocker
15:27:39 <pwhalen> #topic 5) == Open Floor ==
15:27:52 <pwhalen> anything else for today?
15:28:32 <pbrobinson> not from me
