18:36:16 <bcotton> any other announcements to make?
18:36:52 <bcotton> #topic Previous action items
18:36:54 <bcotton> #info pbokoc to finally add a relnotes guide to the contributor docs
18:37:26 <bcotton> still todo, pbokoc?
18:37:41 <pbokoc> bcotton, Grrr, yeah, I keep forgetting about it. Still todo :)
18:38:35 <bcotton> it's all good, we'll get there
18:38:35 <bcotton> #action pbokoc to finally add a relnotes guide to the contributor docs
18:38:43 <bcotton> #info bcotton to close F34 release notes issues
18:38:47 <bcotton> done!
18:38:59 <bcotton> #info pboy to update the docs team page with his revised content
18:39:00 <bcotton> also done!
18:39:09 <bcotton> #info bcotton to draft Docs Team Charter
18:39:10 <bcotton> not done
18:39:16 <bcotton> #action bcotton to draft Docs Team Charter
18:39:31 <bcotton> #info darknao to find out if we can use SAML groups on Fedora Docs GitLab group and still grant additional access to individual repositories
18:39:45 <bcotton> darknao is still still a todo or did i forget to remove it from my script after last week?
18:40:07 <darknao> it's done
18:40:22 <darknao> we can do that
18:40:31 <bcotton> yay
18:40:32 <bcotton> #info darknao to configure the docs repos in GitLab with CI to run builds on MRs (we can add additional checks later)
18:40:44 <bcotton> how about that one?
18:40:45 <darknao> we can even add other saml group link to sub-group of the docs namespace
18:40:55 <darknao> that also done, kinda
18:41:47 <bcotton> done enough or should we keep tracking it?
18:41:54 <darknao> for now, it's only deployed on the contributors-guide repo
18:42:12 <darknao> but it seems good enough to use it on other repositories as well
18:42:35 <bcotton> #info CI is deployed on contributors-guide repo but seems good enough to use on the rest
18:42:43 <darknao> and include it in the repository template too
18:42:53 <bcotton> #action darknao to configure the remaining repos in GitLib for CI
18:43:54 <darknao> unfortunately, i don't have any PR open to showcase it
18:44:42 <darknao> but basically, it'll build the docs, and provide a preview instance to show all the changes in the PR
18:46:23 <bcotton> awesome
18:46:24 <darknao> and maybe later, I'll see if I can add some xref links checks, adoc linter and so on
18:46:35 <bcotton> that'd be great

18:47:13 <bcotton> i feel like we had open questions from last week's meeting
18:47:38 <bcotton> unfortunately, for personal reasons, i haven't been able to start on the draft of the charter. i'm hoping to have that done by the end of this week
18:48:35 <pboy> Independently from the charter we should consider how to continue to improve our revitalisation
18:49:36 <pboy> One idea: conceptalise a commblog in about 4 weeks about one task we are doing.
18:50:11 <pboy> Another: enlarge our "footprint", i.e. more info on our team page.
18:51:16 <bcotton> i like the commblog idea. that will help get us in front of a wider pool. i'm not sure how many people visit our team page to begin with, so it might not be very effective to put a lot of effort into it
18:51:55 <pboy> yes, commblog has an immediate wider impact.
18:53:23 <pboy> One idea: just we start soon with our restructuring, we can present one reworked or have reworked article (either abound Installation or about DNF) and ask for feedback, that way trying to involve more people
18:53:46 <bcotton> that's a good idea
18:54:16 <bcotton> i was talking with Anushka Jain earlier today and presenting her work on redesigning the front page is another good article idea
18:55:07 <pboy> Yes, agreed.
18:55:19 <pboy> Do we have something to look at?
18:56:24 <mateusrc> Hi, how is the current status of permissions?
18:56:53 <AnushkaJain[m]1> pboy: The entire documentation is here- https://www.figma.com/file/7nsbTWEsQGZQQOLD8xg8Fd/Fedora-Docs--Outreachy-Contribution-Phase?node-id=0%3A1
18:58:11 <pboy> It's a lot an hard to look at :-)
18:59:06 <pboy> Without an account, how can I enlarge it?
19:00:36 <AnushkaJain[m]1> I guess the +/- keys should work for that, or you can press alt and scroll your mouse up/down( windows) and zoom in/out on your trackpad ( mac)
19:02:07 <pboy> I've an iMac, without trackpad though. Works with <alt> mouse. Thanks.
19:04:10 <pboy> Looks nice!
19:04:29 <AnushkaJain[m]1> Thankyou:)
19:05:04 <pboy> Is the 3rd week a modification or alternative to our curent box design? Or is it more conceptual?
19:07:04 <darknao> I'm seeing some PatternFly inspiration here, I really like it :p
19:07:36 <AnushkaJain[m]1> The grey boxes are supposed to be a placeholder for images, I couldn't get the right ones just yet, so I left it at that. Other than that I feel it to be a concept!
19:08:29 <AnushkaJain[m]1> darknao: Oh yes, I didn't know about the library till today, now I have it on my system. While creating this I just looked at Fedora Design styleguide:)
19:09:35 <AnushkaJain[m]1> AnushkaJain[m]1: Also in week 3 there are 2 concepts, I tried to go with one of them in week 4😅
19:10:49 <pboy> Oh, I see. Looks really promising!
19:11:35 <pboy> Much more informative but still "pretty".
19:13:47 <bcotton> our two main goals :-)
19:14:28 <pboy> Yeah, but Before we run out of time: mateusrc and I are in the starting blocks to work on content.
19:14:39 <AnushkaJain[m]1> pboy: haha, there might seem to be an information overload without illustrations for sure!
19:14:41 <pboy> When and how can we start so that we have some "fodder" for a commblog?
19:15:05 <mateusrc> I already connected my FAS to Gitlab
19:15:39 <mateusrc> So, I'm ready to start whenever I have a task and permissions
19:16:07 <pboy> AnushkaJain[m]1. Yes, the images take off the threatening
19:16:22 <mateusrc> * So, I'm ready to start as soon as I have a task and permissions
19:16:35 <pboy> mateusrc: +1
19:17:12 <darknao> mateusrc: you should be able to open PR without any specific permissions
19:17:43 <py0xc3[m]> .hi
19:17:44 <zodbot> py0xc3[m]: Sorry, but user 'py0xc3 [m]' does not exist
19:17:45 <mateusrc> Sure, so my task was something related to LiveCD, right?
19:17:47 <py0xc3[m]> sorry for being late :(
19:17:58 <mateusrc> Soemthing about the live session?
19:18:00 <darknao> btw, pboy, I think I fixed the permission settings on the doc namespace, so you should be able to commit, and merge PR now
19:18:15 <pboy> darknao: I think, we first need a repo for the dnf guide (that's he will begin with)
19:18:44 <mateusrc> pboy: Oh, yeah, now I remember, a DNF guide
19:18:49 <pboy> darknao yes, it works, much to my surprise earlier today.
19:18:56 <pboy> Thanks a lot.
19:20:26 <pboy> I wasn't aware of that and asked Ben to merge it. But it was already and I didn't notice. :-)
19:22:21 <pboy> Well, in a first step we need to know, where to put the text of the reworked anaconda guide und the reworked dnf guide. How could we handle that?
19:22:52 <darknao> for the new repository, I can either create it now, or you can create your own using the doc template, and once you have something ready, we can move/copy it to the docs namespace
19:23:47 <pboy> darknao: I must admit, I would rather you created it.
19:24:05 <pboy> I have still to become familiar with gitlab.
19:24:47 <pboy> And would grant mateusrc and me commit permissions.
19:24:47 <darknao> ok, then just tell me how you want to call it, and where you want it
19:25:52 <pboy> Well, the titles would be Anaconda Guide and DNF Guide. You seem to habe some naming convention in mind.
19:25:59 <pboy> So it is best you decide that.
19:26:23 <pboy> And I think it should be in the docs namespace, or?
19:27:12 <darknao> I don't think there is any naming convention right now :)
19:27:46 <darknao> I guess it will go in the Fedora Linux Documentation sub-group then
19:27:55 <pboy> OK, then simple AnacondaGuide and DNFGuide?
19:28:12 <pboy> Linux sub-group sounds fine.
19:29:07 <darknao> Can be Anaconda Guide or maybe Fedora Linux Anaconda Guide if we want to keep the implied naming convention
19:29:41 <pboy> That's OK
19:30:00 <darknao> I mean, I'm quite open to the naming right now, but it's best to agree on something sooner than later
19:30:21 <pboy> I mean Fedora Linux [Anaconda|DNF] Guide
19:31:41 <pboy> Yeah, I think Matthew is emphasizing Fedora Linux. :-)
19:31:58 <darknao> ok, done
19:33:23 <pboy> mateusrc: could you send me a contact mail to pboy@uni-bremen.de, so I have your mail and we can contact indpendently from the time zone?
19:34:00 <mateusrc> pboy: Sure, but I guess my fedoraproject email redirects to the real one anyway, so maybe you could use that?
19:34:19 <mateusrc> In any case I will check later
19:34:37 <bcotton> okay, we're over time. anything else that can't wait?
19:34:39 <pboy> Last time I checked I didn't find it.
19:35:03 <mateusrc> Ok, I will send it later then
19:35:32 <pboy> thanks
19:35:50 <pboy> Okay, time is up, indeed!
19:36:11 <bcotton> thanks everyone!
