13:14:17 <bcotton> anyone else wish to express their presence?
13:14:40 <suehle> here
13:15:14 <bcotton> #topic Follow up on last week's action items
13:15:26 <bcotton> well this should be a short meeting, then :)
13:15:42 <bcotton> the action items all belong to rudi and sparks, neither of whom have piped up
13:15:49 <bcotton> so i'll repeat them real quick and then we'll move on
13:16:01 <bcotton> #action rudi to continue to follow up on FOP issue
13:16:09 <bcotton> #action Sparks to look for an Python expert for OLF
13:16:20 <bcotton> #action Sparks to ensure connectivity from FAD@OLF
13:16:35 <bcotton> #topic FAD @ OLF
13:16:57 <bcotton> i know sparks has been leading this effort (from what i can tell, at least). anyone have any discussion about OLF?
13:17:16 <bcotton> (P.S. this is all from last week's agenda :) )
13:17:28 <jjmcd> Are the sessions on the schedule?
13:17:42 <jjmcd> Seems like jsmith/someone was going to do a publican session
13:17:55 <jsmith> Yeah, Sparks and I
13:18:03 <bcotton> #link http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/FAD_@_OLF_2011
13:18:05 <jsmith> I think it's on Sunday, but I don't have any more details than that
13:18:45 <jjmcd> That's right - we had an in with the scheduling if I recall
13:18:47 <jsmith> Oh, and I'm going to attempt to setup a conference bridge that we can use to communicate with participants who can't make it to OLF
13:19:56 <jjmcd> The FAD isn't on the OLF schedult
13:20:00 <jjmcd> Seems like it should be
13:21:13 <bcotton> any volunteers to get the FAD on the OLF schedule?
13:22:01 <jjmcd> Wasn't Southern_Gentlem the guy doing the scheduling?
13:23:33 * bcotton shrugs
13:24:43 <bcotton> shall we just say that's the case and move on?
13:25:48 <bcotton> #action southern_gentlem to get FAD on OLF schedule
13:25:50 <jsmith> WORKSFORME
13:25:54 <bcotton> #topic F16 Schedule
13:26:27 <jjmcd> I did get the beats cleared out and started
13:26:50 <jjmcd> Zach was going to get the annotated schedult updated, don't know whether he did
13:26:55 <bcotton> by now, we should have 1) Validated former beat writers, 2) recruited new beat writers, 3) notified develpment about Alpha Release Notes, 4) start alpha beat and feature page review, 5) comb beats and feature pages for alpha, and 6) prepare alpha RNs
13:27:03 <jjmcd> I did get him the prog I used to make the graphical sked
13:27:18 <jjmcd> Wow - we're behind
13:27:49 <jjmcd> What is worse, I noticed there isn't nearly enough time on the schedule for beta - not sure how that happened
13:28:20 <jjmcd> But we never had a schedule review meeting that I'm aware of
13:28:59 * jjmcd did go through feature pages for his beats, and a couple of other writers have as well
13:29:25 <jjmcd> But I didn't do a draft tech notes yet which the beat writers need and which isn't on the schedule
13:29:33 <bcotton> #link https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Docs/Beats still plenty of opportunities for contributors
13:30:16 <bcotton> jjmcd: shall I #action that for you?
13:30:26 <jjmcd> yes
13:30:42 <bcotton> #action jjmcd to write draft techn notes for beat writers
13:31:28 <bcotton> so, in addition to the unfinished items above, what should we expect to have done for F16 by this time next week?
13:33:02 <jjmcd> Looks like
13:33:10 <jjmcd> we should have the alpha RNs done
13:33:11 <jjmcd> and
13:33:20 <jjmcd> be almost done with the announcement
13:34:26 <bcotton> #info Alpha RNs should be done by next meeting
13:34:41 <bcotton> #info alpha announcement should be almost done by next meeting
13:34:48 <bcotton> anything else about the F16 schedule?
13:35:00 <jjmcd> The bad news is we basically only have 5 days to do the whole release notes
13:35:14 <jjmcd> Oh, I take that back, 8 days
13:35:57 <bcotton> fortunately, jjmcd is a machine :-)
13:36:49 <bcotton> anything else on F16?
13:37:21 <bcotton> #topic FUDcon Blacksburg
13:37:28 <bcotton> #link http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/FUDCon:Blacksburg_2012
13:38:17 <bcotton> so the agenda has no further commentary. anyone have things to say abou this?
13:39:56 <bcotton> crickets? okay!
13:40:06 <bcotton> #topic Docs QA
13:40:21 <bcotton> this is for Sparks, who doesn't seem to be here. anyone want to add anything?
13:41:14 <bcotton> #topic Guide status
13:41:38 <bcotton> Anyone have anything to say about their guides?
13:43:33 <bcotton> so i'd planned on spending some time yesterday making sure the printing chapter of the UG got updated. but I apparently can't get Gnome3 to work on VirtualBox. if anyone has suggestions, poke me in the docs room
13:44:07 <bcotton> no updates on the RPM Guide, but pmkovar has signed up to help me move it along. hopefully we'll see real progress soon
13:44:14 <bcotton> anything else on guides?
13:45:09 <bcotton> #topic outstanding BZ tickets
13:45:19 <bcotton> #link http://tinyurl.com/lbrq84
13:46:41 <bcotton> seems like there's a lot of them. maybe we should do another bug squashing party after F16?
13:47:46 <bcotton> #topic Open floor discussion
13:48:02 <bcotton> Anything else we need to cover? suehle do you need to mutiny again?
13:50:47 <bcotton> okay, hearing nothing but the sound of my own text, i'll call it done. thanks everyone
