19:00:36 <zodbot> The meeting name has been set to 'cloud_sig'
19:00:39 <rbergeron> #topic Roll call
19:00:43 * rbergeron has to find a soda
19:00:56 * jsmith is here
19:01:04 * jforbes is hereish
19:01:15 * kkeithley is here
19:01:34 <smooge> here
19:01:43 * gholms will be in and out
19:02:23 <rbergeron> okay.
19:02:26 <rbergeron> HAI GUYS!
19:02:29 <rbergeron> #topic EC2
19:02:40 <rbergeron> Justin, i'll get you out of the way since I know you're on baby duty :)
19:02:51 <rbergeron> anything to report? I know you were pretty busy this week with virt test day stuff.
19:03:02 <rbergeron> I'll just poke and say, "we have cloud test day coming" :)
19:03:09 * maxamillion is here-ish
19:03:20 <rbergeron> err, jforbes ^^ :)
19:03:22 <gholms> Any idea what is going to happen at said test day?
19:03:29 <jforbes> rbergeron: thanks, though there isn't much to update. Yesterday was virt test day, so I was slammed this week. As soon as I get the wrap up done there today, My primary focus will be on making sure that the beta images are ready
19:03:33 <maxamillion> I'm also historically a lurking member of the SIG ... thought I'd come and participate a smidge
19:03:58 <jforbes> Yes, I will get the EC2 test page done for Cloud test day early next week
19:04:04 <rbergeron> gholms: not really. I'd like to do at least some boxgrinder testing, if we can rope mgoldmann into that via mailing list somehow, and something related to ec2.
19:04:07 <rbergeron> as jforbes just said.
19:04:10 <rbergeron> :)
19:05:01 <rbergeron> anyone else have anything on ec2?
19:05:04 <rbergeron> hey jgreguske :)
19:05:15 <jgreguske> hi
19:05:47 <rbergeron> alrighty.
19:05:52 <rbergeron> #topic CloudFS
19:06:06 <rbergeron> kkeithley: how goes wiki-land?
19:06:15 <kkeithley> I've done a bit
19:07:02 <kkeithley> made a /CloudFS that points to /Features/CloudFS. It has a bit about CloudFS. Changed Features/CloudFS to not say it's in F15
19:07:17 * rbergeron nods
19:07:34 <rbergeron> I'm sure once you guys are out of the hot seat for getting stuff done for Summit there will be a bit more time. :)
19:07:42 <jdarcy> Kaleb (mostly) and I (a little) also made significant progress on the new config/management infrastructure.
19:08:05 <jsmith> Cool... can't wait to check it out
19:08:13 <jdarcy> Getting out from under the Summit stuff will be a *huge* relief.\
19:08:23 <rbergeron> :)
19:08:36 * skvidal is here - sorry for being late
19:08:43 <jdarcy> I've also been chugging along on the SSL-based transport stuff. Maybe I'll have something good to report next week.
19:08:51 <kkeithley> I have a web-based UI that I can demo. Currently working on a gsoap based backend and will eventually refactor the web UI to use.
19:08:57 <skvidal> jdarcy: any news on the 'making it work for groups and acls and selinux'?
19:09:26 <jdarcy> skvidal: The question I was dreading. I'm ashamed to admit the answer is no.
19:09:42 <skvidal> jdarcy: any news at all on not making me cry?
19:09:48 <skvidal> apparently not
19:09:52 * skvidal goes to cry for a while
19:10:01 <jdarcy> Now 3.1.3 is out, 3.1.4 and even 3.2.0 coming fast, so it's going to be a real scramble to get things packaged.
19:10:09 <jdarcy> skvidal: There, there. ;)
19:10:20 <kkeithley> I've been doing my stuff w/ selinux on, not groups or acls, but it works
19:10:54 <skvidal> groups and acls are the real showstoppers for us
19:11:25 <jdarcy> kkeithley: The specific thing that skvidal needs (as I understand it) is support for ACLs which are enforced on the server. Avati showed me how to do it, but I need to do more work to make it a configurable option because they'll never accept it upstream as a default.
19:11:42 * kkeithley nods
19:11:43 <kkeithley> okay
19:11:53 <jdarcy> Unfortunately, enabling ACLs that way breaks supplementary-group support, so it's a bit of a bind.
19:12:33 <kkeithley> I have a question/concern about gsoap license
19:13:17 <kkeithley> In 2.7 (which is what's available with F14) it has GPL (no version) or Gsoap Public License (Mozilla Public License derivative)
19:14:22 <kkeithley> 2.8 no longer has the OR. But both versions say that commercial use of the wsdl2h and soap2cpp requires a commercial license.
19:14:44 <rbergeron> kkeithley: sometimes the best place to ask is the legal@lists.fedoraproject.org list.
19:14:54 <kkeithley> okay
19:15:11 <rbergeron> just because spot loves that kind of thing. :)
19:15:30 <kkeithley> better to find out before I go down a long road
19:15:35 <jforbes> loves... you use this word... I do not think it means what you think it means
19:15:50 * rbergeron grins
19:17:06 <rbergeron> okay. aything else on CloudFS?
19:17:08 * rbergeron looks around
19:17:22 <jdarcy> Nope. I'm going to go hack on that ACL stuff *right now*. Really.
19:17:28 <rbergeron> You love it!
19:17:48 <rbergeron> #topic Aeolus
19:17:58 * rbergeron notes that mmorsi and clalance aren't here this week - but
19:18:02 <rbergeron> #link http://aeolusproject.org/page/Packages_Missing_From_Fedora
19:18:10 <rbergeron> I will pimp out their packages needing love regardless
19:18:11 <clalance> rbergeron: Arg, I'm here.
19:18:12 <clalance> Sorry.
19:18:19 <rbergeron> oh, you are :)
19:18:21 <rbergeron> HI!
19:18:23 <clalance> Hello :).
19:18:27 <rbergeron> how are things?
19:18:31 <clalance> Sorry, got distracted.
19:18:34 <clalance> Things are moving along.
19:18:42 <clalance> Well, not too much motion on the package front.
19:18:54 <clalance> We've been trying to get another sprint completed.
19:19:03 <rbergeron> stalled reviews or just getting stuff actually packaged?
19:19:09 <clalance> Just getting stuff reviewed.
19:19:14 <rbergeron> okay.
19:19:38 <clalance> That list hasn't moved much, but it is our fault as well for not reviewing each others packages.
19:19:47 <rbergeron> bit by bit :)
19:19:50 <clalance> Yeah.
19:20:25 <clalance> I actually don't have a huge amount else to report. I've mostly just been bugfixing this week.
19:20:41 * rbergeron nods
19:20:53 <rbergeron> Understood.
19:21:25 <rbergeron> #topic Open Floor
19:21:34 <rbergeron> This could be a quick one today.
19:21:38 <rbergeron> Anyone have anythign they want to discuss?
19:22:24 <jforbes> I had some questions about our existance here on this earth...
19:22:45 <clalance> jforbes: #philosophy ;)
19:23:11 <jforbes> clalance: but then I couldnt make rbergeron stretch out the meeting another 3-4 hours
19:23:17 <clalance> Haha.
19:23:37 <jforbes> Then again, it is far too early on a friday to start such conversations :)
19:23:46 <rbergeron> Or not late enough on a Friday. :)
19:23:52 <clalance> Yes, and not nearly enough beer.
19:24:54 <rbergeron> Okay.
19:25:01 <rbergeron> Well, my /dcc send beer isn't working.
19:25:09 <rbergeron> So I guess I'll have to end meeting, unless anyone has objections.
19:25:10 <jforbes> rbergeron: that makes me sad
19:25:25 <jforbes> the /dcc send beer not working, not ending the meeting, feel free to do so :)
19:25:27 <rbergeron> jforbes: sorry to disappoint
19:25:34 <rbergeron> I figured as much :)
19:25:47 * rbergeron files a ticket with fedora infrastructure to see if we can enable that somehow
19:25:54 <rbergeron> Alrighty folks. Have a good weekend :)
19:25:57 <rbergeron> #endmeeting
