18:12:10 <OpenDevil> Ola
18:12:17 <OpenDevil> I made it finally
18:21:53 <fedmsg-docs> 13trac.git.receive -- immanetize pushed some commits to the 'docs/web' fedorahosted git repository 10http://da.gd/lmFmF
18:22:27 <randomuser> hello OpenDevil
18:24:19 <OpenDevil> Too many people here :)
18:25:01 <randomuser> it's a busy channel, aye
18:25:59 <Capesteve> full of lurkers
18:26:08 <randomuser> jhradilek, do you know Adam Samalik, Petr Hracek from this thread about a developer portal?
18:27:09 <pbokoc> I'm here, but I might have to go throw something out of the window soon... goddamn dnf again
18:39:49 <Capesteve> randomuser: is halp a Scandinavian form of help?
18:40:11 <randomuser> heh
18:40:12 <Capesteve> I see # h a l p
18:40:24 <randomuser> #halp Capesteve does not get the joke
18:40:34 <randomuser> ...nothing
18:40:42 <randomuser> oh, there it is!
18:40:53 <Capesteve> I cannot spell or type myself but still cannot avoid noticing these things
18:40:55 <randomuser> fedmsg-bot> meetbot.meeting.item.help -- immanetize called for help in the "Fedora Docs Office Hours" meeting in #fedora-docs: "Capesteve does not get the joke"
18:41:16 <randomuser> it actually does work as #halp - perhaps #help was already taken as a supybot command
18:42:12 <Capesteve> welcome back
18:42:15 <randomuser> hey rkratky, I heard you're getting older, nice work!
18:54:45 <randomuser> #info randomuser committed fedmenu to web.git, there will be a neat button on our site soon
18:56:20 <randomuser> nice, my flock talk has been accepted
18:59:37 <pbokoc> gratz
19:15:30 <threebean> randomuser: any luck with that fedmenu patch?
19:15:51 <threebean> oop! I see it there. looks good :)
19:15:57 <randomuser> ;)
19:28:25 <fedmsg-docs> 13trac.git.receive -- stephenw pushed some commits to the 'docs/system-administrators-guide' fedorahosted git repository 10http://da.gd/ZGlJ
19:29:10 <fedmsg-docs> 13trac.git.receive -- stephenw pushed some commits to the 'docs/system-administrators-guide' fedorahosted git repository 10http://da.gd/5lv37
19:30:45 <Capesteve> randomuser: Something for you to read in your lunch break ^
19:31:32 <Capesteve> randomuser: What is your talk about? Link?
19:32:30 <randomuser> admin.fp.I/voting has the talk list - it's about the docs workflow/tooling changes we have been working on
19:32:36 <randomuser> dyac.
19:33:14 <Capesteve> found the page
19:41:13 <pbokoc> hey, so, anyway - does anyone here have a HDD+SSD in a system they use? I started using that recently in my desktop and I'm wondering about partitioning advice - I already know I did mine in a less than ideal way
19:44:03 <pbokoc> I have /boot and / on the SSD and /home on the HDD, but that's not so great because while it boots lightning fast, any application that reads a lot of configs etc. from a hidden folder in /home/pbokoc is still slow
19:45:19 <pbokoc> so I'm thinking, maybe put /boot, / and /home all on the SSD and just make a separate mntpoint like /home/pbokoc/data on the HDD, and use that instead of /home/pbokoc/{Documents,Downloads,Pictures,Videos}
19:52:23 <pbokoc> ...or even symlink them, which I haven't even thought about till now :-D
19:52:57 <pbokoc> RHCSA represent
19:58:21 <randomuser> I have it all on SSD and bulk data on spining media
19:59:50 <pbokoc> yeah, me too... kinda, except my "bulk data" includes configs in /home/pbokoc, which makes some programs (like firefox and thunderbird) slow on startup because they need to read a lot from the spinning drive
20:02:17 <pbokoc> plus I'd like Steam to be on the SSD as well and I hear it might not handle symlinks or even changing the default install location very well, so I guess putting /home on the SSD is the best way
20:02:49 <pbokoc> when I figure out what works best I'll add some stuff about it to the install guide
20:05:45 <oliverp> oh I think I have found a quite serious "bug" in the fedora 22 relese notes
20:05:58 <pbokoc> oliverp, what is it?
20:06:53 <oliverp> the relese notes mentions new features in GNOME 3.14 while the version included in f22 is 3.16 http://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/Fedora/22/html/Release_Notes/sect-Release_Notes-Changes_for_Desktop.html
20:08:02 <pbokoc> oh, whoops
20:08:15 <oliverp> yeah
20:08:17 <pbokoc> it says 3.16 in the intro paragraph but then 3.14 everywhere else
20:08:23 <oliverp> yes
20:08:32 <pbokoc> pkovar, ^
20:09:57 <pbokoc> I wonder if the features listed are actually for 3.16 and it just mentions the wrong version, or if they're actually features introduced in 3.14 in f21 and we just somehow left that there
20:10:36 <oliverp> I think at most of them are features introduced in 3.14
20:10:51 <oliverp> I'm quite involved with GNOME btw
20:14:16 <oliverp> Actully taking a closer look I think that only its a typo in the version number not that features have left there
20:15:17 <oliverp> that said I think its quite a serious issue anf something that looks very confusing
20:15:41 <pkovar> /me is looking
20:16:01 <pkovar> ah, it really says 3.14 throughout the feature list
20:16:06 <oliverp> pkovar: thanks
20:16:06 <pbokoc> it does really seem like only the version is wrong
20:16:07 <pkovar> i will get this fixed
20:16:24 <oliverp> pkovar: great
20:16:25 <pbokoc> if you open the link at the bottom it talks about the same stuff
20:16:36 <oliverp> yse
20:16:39 <oliverp> *yes

20:19:38 <pkovar> alright
20:19:50 <pkovar> oliverp: thanks a lot for pointing that out
20:20:51 <oliverp> pkovar: ok course no problem, I care about free software :)
20:21:44 <pkovar> looks like i should update the revhistory too
