14:10:15 <stefw> .hello stefw
14:10:15 <zodbot> stefw: stefw 'Stef Walter' <stefw@redhat.com>
14:10:23 <stefw> #topic Agenda
14:10:43 <stefw> * Server outage of Cockpit infrastructure
14:12:34 <stefw> andreasn, petervo anything else?
14:12:47 <andreasn> nothing super-urgent
14:12:49 <petervo> i don't have anything
14:13:10 <andreasn> I'm mostly doing smaller fixes in parrallel to the scap research
14:13:21 <stefw> alright #topic Server outage of Cockpit infrastructure
14:13:24 <stefw> alright#topic Server outage of Cockpit infrastructure
14:13:27 <stefw> #topic Server outage of Cockpit infrastructure
14:13:32 <stefw> yay
14:13:46 <stefw> so anyway our testing, documentation, and miscelaneous server went down late last week
14:13:51 <stefw> and we've had all hands on deck to try to deal with it
14:14:14 <stefw> basically we've dealt with it by heavily decentralizing our testing, and other things so that we don't need to be dependent on a single server
14:14:34 <stefw> the server has come back now, but we're not using it for anything yet
14:14:50 <stefw> we've started to run the Cockpit integration tests in a distributed manner, wherever we can find disk space and CPU time
14:15:04 <stefw> and that's starting to work ... although there's still loose ends to tie up
14:15:17 <stefw> in addition the documentation has moved from files.cockpit-project.org/guide to cockpit-project.org/guide
14:15:21 <stefw> there is now a redirect
14:15:27 <stefw> but the redirect wasn't there over the weekend
14:15:41 <stefw> in all, it's a good step forward
14:15:49 <stefw> but has taken a lot of time away from develping other stuff
14:18:59 <stefw> i think that's it on that topic
14:19:18 <stefw> do we need to post something about this to cockpit-devel?
14:19:30 <andreasn> might be good
14:19:34 <petervo> the guide doesn't seem to be up yet
14:20:03 <stefw> which link?
14:20:22 <petervo> cockpit-project.org/guide
14:20:38 <petervo> i get a github 404
14:20:41 <stefw> true
14:20:42 <stefw> http://cockpit-project.org/guide/latest/index.html
14:20:47 <stefw> so we should fix that index page
14:21:10 <stefw> previously we used an apache index handler to generate it for us
14:21:14 <petervo> ah
14:21:15 <stefw> but i guess we just need to do it manually now
14:21:18 <andreasn> "Documentation for Cockpit 0.81 -- latest version available at: http://files.cockpit-project.org/guide/latest/"
14:21:26 <andreasn> should that paragraph change?
14:21:30 <stefw> yes, probably
14:21:36 <stefw> are you interested in doing a pull request?
14:21:57 <andreasn> sure
14:21:58 <stefw> #action Stef will create an index page
14:22:09 <stefw> #action Andreas will update the 'latest version' link
14:22:55 <stefw> okay ...
14:22:58 <andreasn> is it the cockpit repo?
14:23:02 <stefw> yup
14:23:07 <stefw> #topic Open Floor
14:23:52 <github> [cockpit] stefwalter opened pull request #3024: test: Don't delete the entire test/run directory (master...dont-delete-run) http://git.io/vWoNb
14:24:17 <andreasn> good to see Ubuntu instructions on the website
14:24:52 <stefw> yeah, it's nice to be making progress in the direction of more distros
14:25:07 <stefw> i think also with the testing being more distributed it'll remove one more barrier
14:26:22 <stefw> okay, all done?
14:26:30 <andreasn> I think so
14:26:59 <stefw> #endmeeting
